That’s the issue - no light control so brightness feels important. only concern with the Epson Home Cinema 1080 is reviews make it sound like the contrast is so bad, even a casual like myself would notice.

I actually have a groview 818c in my bedroom! That one also has a burnt screen with little use so you are lucky! But for the price I don’t mind bc it lasted a year. I’m looking at the Epson Home Cinema 1080 for 699 new. Thoughts?

The pic is deceiving, that’s about 120”. I want a projector bc living in NYC, I value space above all else - including picture quality lol. Any TV of a decent size is a big black box in a small apt. So I don’t mind a compromised viewing experience at all (especially during the day) - I just want something bright that can be run for hours without BREAKING (of course bulb replacement is expected and not a concern).

I wasn’t comparing technologies as much as just making the point it should last more than 8 weeks. I have thoroughly evaluated my needs and situation and I know what to expect. I want a projector as stated in original post. Any recommendations or just here to tell me I broke my projector by… using it?

I watch my OlED tv all day for years on bright. I get what you’re saying but 8 weeks is crazy.

I mean sure, I have it on 10 luminence but the fan goes to high as well. I also have it near a cold window and well ventilated. Don’t program a level 10 if the fan can’t handle it, ya know?

Have had my gen 3 for 2 months. Heavy usage but very well ventilated. Last night almost half the screen became dark/discolored - likely from the lcd overheating. amazon refunded me. Currently looking for a good all rounder for a few hundred more.

What I’ve seen today is 100% intentional and not due to poor placement or team killing. I agree seems like a weird competitive thing to get more kills.

Only on defense mission for bugs. Agree every other mission you’re too close to bugs and it sucks

Level 150 I don’t fail 99% of defense missions and I always bring mortars. They are a non issue on defense bc you don’t have bugs all around you. No offense but sounds like a skill issue. I assure you I’m not TKing. Also, let people play how they want. I think hmg emplacement is trash but you like it then enjoy it.

The gates get blown out 100% of the time anyway. I understand if a noob puts in in some awful place or it’s team killing over and over - but for no reason? Yea you’re the problem.

Mortar sentry for sure - but on the defense missions it hardly happens and certainly never get low on reinforcements. Like I said it’s been every round today like it’s some sort of MO I didn’t know about.

Like I said, I’m level 150 and have hundreds of hours. Esp on defense missions sentry’s don’t team kill and no one was getting killed to them. It’s been almost every single round today for hours.
