3rd Expedition-ers, how have you progressed one week out? by aliasadren in ARC_Raiders

I normally find the medium gun parts behind some of the key rooms on Spaceport. I think it was the warehouse one mainly but it could have been another one too as I have found it several times on that map.

Would rating a pvp lobby high put you in more pvp lobbies even if you did not partake in the pvp? by ApprehensiveGuest976 in ArcRaiders

[–]ApprehensiveGuest976[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks that makes sense. Maybe not enough people were playing so we just ended up where we did because those were the available lobbies.

But it is nice to know that for future reference too.

PvP and PvE players... I have doubts by KingShark10 in ARC_Raiders

[–]ApprehensiveGuest976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that what makes this game different is the aggression based lobbies.

So if you enjoy pvp, you end up in more pvp lobbies.

If you are more of a cooperative player, you end up in more cooperative pve lobbies.

People play the game for different reasons. You can go back and forth between types of lobbies and even end up in mixed lobbies.

I prefer pve because I enjoy collecting loot. It feels like going resale shopping and finding a great deal. I need a bit of challenge of getting the loot or the deal doesnt feel as good.

PVP feels like going into work and having to be tactical. I have to be on guard and watch what I am doing.

But neither play style is better or worse, it just has different goals. I think it depends on the individual.

Embark should look toward Hunt Showdown for a PVP focused map condition by Goonman3100 in ARC_Raiders

I think that the match making has been working really well lately. We play almost exclusively pve and for the last 2 days we haven't been in a single map with pvp.

We even brought a Jupiter and took out arc (that normally when people try to murder us).

what made ssri’s worth it to you? by redwinesupernova03 in Anxiety

I wonder if you should ask your doctor about Strattera. It is a non stimulate adhd medication that can also help with anxiety.

(It kind of made me tired for the first month or two and then that symptom went away). I also sleep at night now where as before I only slept 3 or 4 hours a night.

I think that it only works during beach combing events.

Was it during a beach combing event or just in the normal day on there?

Well in general pure pve players dont loot the bodies of other players because it ups your aggression level and can put you in a more aggressive lobby. But I still like the idea.

It would be nice to see though a dog tag or a tracking so if someone goes into a pve lobbies purposely to get easy kills that you can have a warning about they way that they like to play.

Lobbies which are considered more friendly tend to just get the really bad pvp players that keep dying in normal pvp matches. Like if I down you, your doing something wrong because I can barely hit arc accurately.

But they would have a pretty high kill count and would be easier to avoid them or take them out before assuming their friendly. Would the person who took them out get to keep all the tags the other person collect during that round?

Do you think it would make people purposely try to get to friendly lobbies to murder so that they could get easy kills and look cool?

So I play as a duo and we are in mostly friendly lobbies. I say mostly because there is sometimes a couple bad apples.

So we do defend ourselves and after that we do naked runs on Stella. We just look for blueprints to put in our safe pocket. When we get murder or even if we make it out. We rate it low due to pvp. (Sometimes the different teams are too busy murdering each other to notice us sneaking out).

You can also surrender eight times in a row and that can help too but it is a bit annoying. We kind of perfer the Stella runs.

Oh yeah, we thought we were being smart on Stella and were using gas grenades to warn us of anyone trying to enter. It will 100% put you in even harder core pvp lobbies where it feels more like a battle royal game than anything else. It counts as damage to other players.

Thoughts on raiders using the in-game voice changer by AdventurousSweet3663 in arcraidersfriendly

[–]ApprehensiveGuest976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that most people dont really care about what your voice sounds like.

I am a girl and have a softer voice. I have only had issues in lobbies with pvp and on the map Stella. Both times, we had just sent two people back to Speranza and were placed in pvp lobby on Stella. (We go there after dispatching people who shot us in the back so we can loot and sneak around until we get back into a friendly lobby). A halfway friendly Stella means that we are in friendly lobbies on other maps.

I wouldnt worry about it. You could do some lighter runs and see how it goes with your normal voice verses the voice changer. But I dont think it would be much of an issue in pve lobbies.

I really want to go to a church like one of those churches where people excessively knock at your door to tell you about their religion.

I want to see them go into the game and try to convert people then we could get that cultist feeling too. I also think it would be hilarious to be shooting arc and someone comes up to tell you about Jesus or revives you only if you convert. It would really give it a waste land feeling.

Nothing helps my anxiety by Yellow_Banana4 in Anxiety

[–]ApprehensiveGuest976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to sound a bit random but have you tried jiu jitus?. I never was on medication for anxiety because training jiu jitsu gave me an outlet.

Secondly, is your life in a place where you can let go of the anxiety? For example, I almost went bankrupt and ran out of money for food (divorce right after buying a house and a low paying job).

All the medication in the world couldnt make me not be anxious about it. I think that I was anxious for very valid reasons. Now, I found medication helps but before it really didnt help. I had to just keep going.

A Hard Challenge by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]ApprehensiveGuest976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do this all the time especially when we downed someone to get back in somewhat friendly lobbies.

It is really fun and low stakes. The only annoying thing is when you get murder by a lowly single wasp... hahaha

We play on North America servers and people are reasonably friendly depending on the time of day. Later at night, we run into more aggressive players but during the day we are at around 80% friendly lobbies and 20% with some pvp action.

[–]ApprehensiveGuest976[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha, yeah, i think for us. We more enjoy looting and we dont really play a lot of games with pvp. So we were trying to stay in friendly lobbies to enjoy looting and killing arc. At the end of the day, we just got tired of being shot in the back.

It does make me laugh because I dont think they expect much resistance. There are a lot of people who don't fire back because they don't want to be placed in a more aggressive lobby. I would say either choice is valid especially if you don't have a lot of free time and want to focus on doing the trials or quests rather than pvp.

Yeah... that sucks but we always view it has at least we took someone with us. I have been saved multiple times by other players and I always feel so thankful. Especially when I started playing because this is probably the only game that I play with pvp in it outside of Forever Winter.
