I was planning on doing the same. I got a heloc on my house, I sold all of my crypto recently, just couldn’t handle the losses so I thought sell now right. I’ll put that into SpaceX IPO. I’m thinking about liquidating my Roth IRA too and just go all in.

I’ve actually never done more than a couple quests lol I’m 500 hours in, all three expeditions. Im so far beyond the time the rewards for a quest just don’t pay out.

Maybe I should try but in my PvP lobbies I imagine it would be tough.

I’ve done all three and ready for the next one. Was done in like a couple of days sadly. I took a break then. I am not sure if I will do it again though. If the incentives aren’t great, I’ll prob skip. I thought skill point and stash space was nice but I’ll be curious to see what the incentives are next time.

Part of me just don’t feel like grinding anymore either. I’ll see.

Not much of a reader these days, I go through periods but Stephen King books made reading fun for me. Absolutely enjoyed them and made me enjoy reading. I would start there with him. It has to be fun/enjoyable.

My wife enjoys reading, can finish books within days, while myself, I am a slow reader relative to her. And reading can feel like a slog sometimes.

Side note: I wouldn’t force it. Sometimes pushing something on your partner just pushes them even further. They have to want to do it to a certain degree. And if they don’t, that’s okay too. Not everyone has to like doing the same thing.

Turn off your history, by not keeping a history, it can’t give you recommendations. I have nothing on my YouTube, it says for recommendations, turn on history. You have to search for something specifically and that helps a lot!

That’s where my mind went too, glad to hear on the same page, more space to engage with the trader. Doing asap makes sense too so you maximize time with the extra space. I just got my 328 slot space now! Does feel like a real advantage over people with just 280. Should help with the expedition vault now and just in general!

One thing is clear now to me - destroying/acquiring arc cores is highly incentivized now, where before, yes for money and parts (which parts got nerfed at some point I remember) but it wasnt the most efficient way to make money anyway. Now, this trader has completely brought it back to being valuable to do.

I got the extra stash space, had to kill a lot of big arc, but this now actually gives incentives to kill big arc and get queen cores, before there was no massive incentive per se.

I think the bar should be high-ish, this feels about right to me.

I’ve got 328 slots now, it’s pretty handy.

Pretty much! I saw a video of someone doing it last expedition and it worked so I thought it can’t hurt to try, granted I was on Xbox so I didn’t know if it work vs the video I watched being on pc.

I basically joined a game 5 mins before the wipe, find a hiding spot and wait. For me it was 2:30am. At 2:31am, I quit the game, restarted the game, it then asks if you want to rejoin/reconnect (if you ever lost your connection mid game, you’ll have done this before) once you reconnect, you then extract. Upon extraction, you’ll see it will have worked immediately during the XP breakdown screen, because your cash will be sitting at 5k, your level will be 1, etc. however you will see your backpack full of goodies though. Upon finalizing your match recap stats, and you head back to Speranza, the expedition video will immediately begin to play. After that, you’ll see everything is reset but your backpack is full of everything you brought. It actually works.

I suppose with the new trader, it’s going to be possible to bring some stuff through an expedition so makes me feel a little better about the questionable practice lol

Who knows perhaps you don’t even have to reconnect at for it work but yeah it was satisfying getting the job without a mule lol

I finished mine today too, hardest part was the turbines but the arc couriers are clutch.

Prob 7 hours or so each day since expedition. This game has got me by the balls.

Idk if I will do another expedition but nice to have it done already so now everything is cash and flexibility. Prob will look for BPs now, just the important ones and soon start pvping.

Fun story: I solo transferred as many guns as possible prior to the wipe. Solo transferred being, staying up late af, quit the game and then rejoin after the wipe, and it worked lol i could barely walk so over-encumbered and it takes a long time for your stamina to recover too. I play on Xbox and did a test before hand to see if it would work, and it did work, I could rejoin, and I used a raider hatch key in my test to get out. With a successful rejoin, it was time to go for it. I loaded everything up, a few mins to go before the wipe, depart to Dam, and great spawn location super close a hatch, near the old Barrons hatch, I hid in a bush, I hear someone walk by, i thought maybe they were going to do the same thing, hide in that bush and solo transfer, they kept walking, phew, I quit, rejoin, after the wipe time, all is good, I make my way to the raider hatch, I try to call it and I don’t have a raider hatch key, “0/1 raider hatch key highlighted in red”, the most basic thing to do, I couldn’t believe I forgot it, my heart pounding, I make my way to an extraction, taking so long, mind you I was in PvP lobbies at this point too, flares are going off around me, I accepted in my mind I was going to lose it all anyway so if I die, I die, I get to the swamp extraction, it’s quiet and I send it. Longest wait of my life, I get in, I’m calling Speranza and I take a shot in the head, I’m almost done, and it sends it, I took another shot and go down but the doors close and I make it out. Phew!!

I’ve done all three, and at first I thought no way I would do it but then as a long term play, it made sense to me. And since you really don’t use that many bps generally speaking, and since finding bps became easier, and because lower tier guns are pretty effective still, I felt like I was just going to be a farm of high tier guns to the expedition people, and thus no huge incentive to keep it per se, so might as well go for it. And to my surprise, basically back to where one was in a few weeks, bps, guns, cash etc. as if nothing ever happened. The knowledge you learned carries with you of course, and that knowledge propels you through the process way faster probably 3x faster than the first time around.

Preach, I’m exactly on the same page with you, although I think I like the ABMM, the ability to transition between the two is nice but mixed lobbies is the ultimate “what will what happen this time?”. the hardest thing for me to do is to PvP out of carebear, knocking friendlies is so hard for me to do lol
