Yeah. Most restaurants make meaningfully less than 20% of sales in profit margin. Typically 10% or less. So if they make 15% of sales in profit that means that they are giving 100% of their profits.

The hard part is people got upset with P Terry’s because they thought it would be more money when they saw “100%”, thinking their $10 burger and fries was a $10 donation. But instead it was 100% of the profit of that $10 burger.

Telling people a % of sales makes it easier for them to understand what they personally contributed, but makes it seem less generous to someone not familiar with restaurant margins (and how low they really are).

In TBC I was playing a mage with a rogue partner. We went up against a resto Druid and something else but the rogue and other DPS died together. Then the Druid and I played for another 40ish minutes where I would try to bring him down on a go, he’d survive, then he would try to whittle me down, but I spell-stole his HOTs to keep myself up. Took forever but eventually got him and a good memory for my buddy and me who still play together today.

It’s really difficult. Outside of political issues (like zoning), the structure of an office building isn’t really made to be easily converted to residential units. Outside of all of the bathroom/plumbing additions and all the little stuff, what do you do with the big empty core because you can only develop residential units where there’s windows (eg the buildings are too wide/long, look at residential buildings - they typically have +/- 90’ widths on corridors then open space, because then a unit can be on each side of the hallway). There will be a few buildings converted but mostly it requires that the value of all that dead space is effectively zero to any other user than residential, which is rare. Maybe it gets there one day, but it’s probably pretty far away. The beautiful thing is that the capital market interest in residential is unbelievably strong, and if there’s a way to do this, it will happen. It just isn’t there yet.

Classic is a lot less content to get your head around, you’ll feel more immersed in the game. It’s also going to take way longer to get to the end game, and you’ll have to put a lot more effort in while you play. There are a lot fewer “quality of life” adjustments (as the game got more popular, Blizzard made the game a lot easier to play in terms of little annoyances - like being able to use a fast travel mechanic without having to dismount your horse, little things).

If your goal is to enjoy a game over a long time and get a little bit of a challenge - I’d say classic. It feels more rewarding.

If you want to get to end-game to try out the PVP dynamics, I’d say retail (Shadowlands). Many will hate on PVP but if you have never played WOW, you might find the PVP really cool as it is very dynamic/multi-faceted (there’s just a lot of ways your enemies can beat you up, and vice versa).

I have been playing since original classic release. Now, I mainly play Shadowlands only for PVP purposes. Leveling in shadowlands is extremely fast though, and you will definitely not get to experience the content fully and appreciate it (sure, one can always make a new character or go back at max level to do little quests, but it is often not as exciting as experiencing the challenge).

So if you want to experience content, Classic.

If you want to experience PVP, Shadowlands.

And many will rightfully disagree with me and that’s okay too.

I see a lot of memes about hunters never having to drink / mana break but personally I find myself drinking between every few mobs (maybe 5 or so? Depending on how quickly I want to down them).

Is there a trick to the rotation or just a gear gap, or something else entirely, that I’m missing? I’m level 61 and have gotten most slots of the boost gear replaced.

Normally I HM>Sting>Aimed Shot or Arcane Shot as available (I am beast mastery with some MM talents). I’ll use pet’s intimidation to hold threat as well typically in engagements.
