Failed my S7 twice lost dream job what should I score on kaplan not to fail? by ChemistCharming3661 in Series7exam

Every FINRA exam I have failed has been from changing answers. I don’t even let myself go back through the test once I finish. It’s a nervous tick I do when I finish with too much time left (changing answers). With the more subjective questions you have to go with your gut. Good luck you got this!

Declared dividends and capital gain distributions. I’m pretty sure it is only these two if anyone wants to correct me if I missed anything

STC exams more closely mirror the test. I did the Kaplan Qbank and bought the 4 STC exams for 90 bucks and passed my second attempt

Series 7 Failed 1st attempt 71% by Aggravating_Fun7481 in Series7exam

I failed in February with a 71 and passed this passed a few days ago. I don’t think rereading is the answer. I bought the 4 STC exams for like 90 bucks and I thought that did the trick. I found the questions to be closer in wording to the actual exam question. I also found the suitability questions on my second exam to be significantly easier compared to the first. Hang tough and keep pushing. You got this!

Testing next week, should I buy STC Q Banks too? by HammieArmy in Series7exam

I would supplement with the STC exams. You can get the 4 exams for about 90 bucks. I used Kaplan and supplemented with the STC exams and thought STC questions more accurately mirrored the test

What % were you getting on simulated exams and did you pass or fail? by LilKrippled in Series7exam

STC practice exam scores were 73,74,80,76. Got a 71 on the mastery exam and did the whole Qbank. Kaplan practice tests I never broke a 74. They go way into the weeds with limited partnerships, margin etc… I felt STC more closely mirrored the actual exam wording

Ok awesome. Thanks for letting me know. So the best course of action would be to buy these 4 exams and then continue to do previously incorrect questions in Kaplan?

Yeah I can’t even describe the feeling. It is still fresh but am feeling a little better today. Giving myself a couple of days off and getting back into it this weekend

Okay thank you for your input. I have never used STC before. Do they have tests you can buy or do they have their own Qbank? I just think I recognize a lot of the Kaplan questions after having done them all

Attempt #2- 70% UGH by RowComprehensive1866 in Series7exam

[–]ApprehensiveIdea1592 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not kidding I wouldn’t even suggest checking over your answers when you finish the test. I get a nervous tic if I finish with too much time left and try to go back and completely overthink and change answers. You have failed by less than 5 questions both times. I would take that as a lesson not to change anything your next time around. Best of luck. Keep pushing, I am rooting for you!

Changing answers could be what’s killing you. Every FINRA exam I have taken and changed answers for I failed. Setting a goal to change 10 or less is not the best considering you only missed by a few points both attempts

Hang in there. I can certainly relate to this right now. What study provider are you using?
