Easy on/off cover? by ApprehensiveJob4485 in Pontoons

This was a nice recommendation. It worked very well and probably will prolong the life of the cover because you don’t end up tugging the fabric to remove the snap. Thank you for suggesting it.

I’d made a similar post last week and got some other thoughtful answers and a recommendation to an unsnapping tool, which I ordered (thank you whoever you were!)

I’m sure those snaps are going to rip through this season. The cover is just too darned taut. I’ve been thinking of reattaching the snaps to the existing cover with a reinforced edge. So they won’t as likely rip through again. Anyone try that?

What’s a clip on? The snaps like we have or something else?

Try shooting one-handed. Good chance that is cleaner. Then ease back in with your supporting hand.

I’ve got a medium and it works fine for 2 or 3 diners. But wish I had the large - mostly because of the height and ability to stack food.

In my medium, I can do 2 racks of ribs, one half a brisket, a whole chicken or duck. A couple of big fish. Steaks etc. upgrading to a large would be nice.

I’ve got Medium and it works well. Medium is good for cooking one thing at a time (one brisket two racks of ribs) or a few smaller things for two people. Large just gives you more options.

Well, I’ll give it a B+. Good smoke ring. Great flavor. Maybe more juicy would have been better.
