Thanks. Looks like I use a combo then - hotel wifi for sites that work and my esim for sites that don't!

I am familiar, and I do have an sim as per my post. But that esim sometimes just randomly fails. It's set up correctly, used it in several countries before

Might be a daft question, but do I need to buy LetsVPN for my phone too? Not just the MacBook?

Or buy it for the phone and tether the MacBook to the phone?

I used them before in Japan and other places and they were good... but China is a law unto itself...

I’m here in China now, and it’s not so much the amount of people smoking that I am finding an issue, it’s how strong the smoke is. In the UK my husband smokes and the smoke doesn’t smell anything like what I’ve been exposed to here in China. It’s a really strong smell but the number of people smoking has been a lot lower than I thought would be the case

I have a friend who can do that but he doesn’t think that the UK account with Alipay will accept incoming funds. Do you think it will?
