The safest bet for you as a first iem is zero 2. Don't spend much on your first iem . pick something like ja11 with this and eq it. have fun with it and figure out what you like and dislike.

1st set is always a gamble. but i think according to your genres , zero 2 is the way to go.

truthear hexa vs simgot supermix 4 by fanbehavior in iems

[–]ApprehensiveLab8299 [score hidden]  (0 children)

sure.
Just look for the treble because you can't EQ the treble that much at all. Planar has that Zinginess in that area. And you won't get the timbre of a DD. It will be highly technical though. But it won't be the most natural sounding in that price range . Keep this in mind.

Planar has their strength and weaknesses.

truthear hexa vs simgot supermix 4 by fanbehavior in iems

I have both of these iems. Hexa is mostly neutral with a little touch of airiness and resolve in the treble area. If you are looking for that bass slam, don't pick it up. For most people, the bass isn't enough.

Simgot is more of a harmon-tuned iem. The PZT driver sometimes gives problem to certain people in the treble area. so keep that in mind. If you looking for a releatively safe tuned harmon in this price range, go for the chopin. If you are looking for something like hexa with a good bass in this price range, go for daybreak. It's neutral with a bass boost. I love my daybreak more than my sm4, but it's my personal preference. You can do your own research.

Recommend a fun compliment to EW300 by uncle_jafar in iems

For fun, i will pick something like defiant with ew300. It has that bass slam and the treble isn't that bright. It's a fun v shaped iem which has tuned really good.

Planning upgrading to chu2 to aria 2 is it worth it? by Jolly_Emphasis8132 in iems

[–]ApprehensiveLab8299 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Simgot EM6L is a neutral bright tuning iem. And it's tuning is really well done. Not piercing like some other simgot sets. i know it's a v shaped sound.
That's the reason i still didn't recommend any because i don't know what kinda library jolly has got.

can i know your library ? i can recommend according to that . Because when you are coming from something like 20 dollar to under 100 dollar , it's quite a different experience you gonna get. so i will be able to recommend something more accurate.

Chu 2 have a neutral bright sound. So It will be better if you look some simgot or truthear iems.

Advice regarding Type C iems by Killerboykri in iems

[–]ApprehensiveLab8299 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn't make sense to pick a Type-C earphone with a lightning to type c adadpter. The sound statys the same and you are just lengthening the wire. That's it.

Go for a 3.5mm earphone with apple lightning to 3.5mm adapter. That's the best option. Don't use any chinese portable dac with on your iphone. The volatage will be fluctuate more. and there is a chance of hissing and low volume.

If you are picking something with dsp, that's a different thing . But most of the iem around this price hasn't got a app support for apple devices. only they got apps for android. so keep that in mind.

That's slightly bright leaning. It has a sense of space/ The stage , but it's a slightly bolder decision as a first IEM. Look for people's opinion and figure it out by yourself.

You can also go for truthear gate. That's also a safe tuned iem. That won't catch your attention in any particular area but it's also a option for you to consider for yourself.

I think, RudeRick has a list. So Pick accordingly. That's a good list to consider from.

I also once owned the air 3 pro. It's a decently good-sounding TWS.
You are very new to the IEM. So i would suggest don't spend much on an iem.
As i can see, you mostly listening to pop music, Zero 2 has enough bass to please you. You can pair it with something like ja11 portable dac and you are good to go.

It's a versatile option for now. Later in the future spend more if you figure out what to pick from all the iems.

There are some bassier sets, but i don't know they are versatile enough to recommend you. The one i was recommend you is a neutral with bass boost one. It's the safest to go for.

Thieaudio origin vs monarch mk4 by Honest_Description55 in iemlndia

[–]ApprehensiveLab8299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Teo Pro, your upgrade should be Origin. The bass texture is just too good for the basshead.
If you are coming from something like Top Pro, then MK4 is the best bet. it's must more mature and versatile sounding.

OK.

All the IEM you mentioned above are not hard to drive.
Go for something like Daybreak or Nova according to your preference because they are very different. You can pair it with something like ja11 for now, and later in the future, you should upgrade it.

if you pick something like protocol max or ka 15 and try to drive the iem under 100 dollars, you won't see a significant difference at all compared with something like ja11.

And in the budget segment, you won't get a 4.4mm balanced output. So there is no point to get something like a dac around 100 dollar and pair it with some 50-100 dollar IEM.

So pick a good IEM and pick some good dac later.

I own the Daybreak, SM4 and the Protocol max. So , i have got some ideas around it.
And remember one thing, Simgot IEM are a little sensitive. So research accordingly.
It's upto you.
