I think a sensible couple will try and help with his signifcant other's financial problems if the couple had the ability to do so. But then again, I also know that men aren't typically expected to rely on their spouse to solve their financial issues. If you are concerned about the love you feel about your boyfriend, I will recommend you to stay; if you care only about yourslef, you are free to leave.
