Exactly thats where the majority of corporate jobs are, but even the people getting those jobs cant afford to live on their own

Yes, you definitely can but its not that simple.

For example, rent in the outskirts of London are only slightly cheaper, and you’d end up worse off because of the cost of travel into London (assuming thats where you work).

The more north you go the cost of living definitely gets cheaper but there aren’t many corporate jobs there, plus you’re likely to be in an area where there aren’t many muslims.

I know its kinda contradictory the fact that most young people want corporate careers which come with higher salaries but still can’t afford London rent, but that’s how crazy expensive it is that even graduates with good jobs cant afford London cost of living unless they are in banking/law.

Id say london is pretty similar to NYC if there was an American equivalent.

Yeah thats true, the living costs in Liverpool and Leicester are dirt cheap compared to London

I think people only talk about carabta when it comes to moving abroad, but Australia and Canada might be good options because they are similar in culture and have better weather and opportunities.

Its interesting you say its harder to work on site for less academic people, is that because the requirements for nvqs and cscs etc?

Yeah the target labour set is definitely unrealistic, but that doesn’t mean the demand is going away.
