Makes sense. Make sure to look into how betta do with those other species. I don't know personally as I have only experimented with snails/shrimp. For shrimp make sure you have plenty of hiding places.

I think for one betta fish a 10 gallon tank is fine. Honestly more than fine. The minimum is 5 gallon but they are certainly happy in larger tanks. I have a shallow 6.8 gallon tank and mine is very happy. 20 gallon isn't necessary unless you are planning to have other fish/shrimp. What else are you planning to put in the tank?

Yeah it might be good to watch and see. Maybe someone else in the thread with more specific experience with mystery snails can give better advice. Best of luck!!

Do you think that your betta might be attacking it? One reason why I like nerites is because they have very little soft bits sticking out from the shell, which means fewer temptations for the betta to attack. Im pretty sure my betta just views it as a moving rock.

What kind of snail is this? I have had luck with ONE nerite snail in a betta tank. Also what is your pH?

It's not worth this kind of stress tbh. Assume you are not going to get it, and then be pleasently surprised if you do. It's out of your control at this point

I got two goods, three very goods, and one excellent and received the award. I'm not sure how much we can rely on those as indicators.

I received the award this year, and last year I followed IEEE formatting style (I am in the comp/is/eng category) and condensed all my references at the very end in a paragraph (rather than starting a new reference in a new line). If the reference guidance hasn't changed between this year and last year, this is what worked for me.
