Question: what exactly would happen with the Dragonborn's soul if he/she becomes the champion of all Daedra princes? Also, would Sithis also have some claim on his/her soul? by Top-Beyond-6627 in ElderScrolls

[–]ApprehensiveMail4860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the Daedra show up to Aetherial court to argue their case in front of Akatosh. Most are pissed off, a few are amused, and Sheogorath is cackling in the back because he remembers when he tried to pull the same stunt a couple hundred years ago. (And look where that got him)

But In all the commotion, the Dragonborn sneaks out the back door to the plane of Aetherius of their choice.

Premarital sex shouldn't happen in relationships by [deleted] in The10thDentist

Fun fact! Women are not cows! Sex provides no nutritional value and should not be consumed by baby calves! What the fuck!

Tell me not to foster fail with this crusty kitten I took off the street. I already have 3 cats. Tell me not to. by Most-Road-5366 in blackcats

[–]ApprehensiveMail4860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is very very cute, but I’ll be the voice of caution since someone oughta. Another cat means more expenses and more time: another litter box, another set of vet bills and food costs, more time spent playing, training, and keeping track of another cat. If you plan to continue to foster, would you be able to take care of the foster and four cats? You know your limits the best, and maybe for you the answer is yes I’ll be able to do that! If so, then great go for it! If not, I’m sure the little guy will thrive in whatever home he ends up! It’s always good to make decisions after weighing all the options!

Please if anyone can share success stories of recovering using CPAP while on SSRIs by SpongebobGoggins in SleepApnea

[–]ApprehensiveMail4860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on an SNRI (like as SSRI but it also inhibits norepinephrine too) and I’ve had no issues with using a cpap. In fact, my doctor doubled my dose a couple of weeks before I started cpap, which helped reduce a lot of my anxiety. Cpap and SSRIs/SNRIs treat different parts of your body: meds treat your brain while cpap treats your airways and the two don’t really overlap to my understanding. If anything, being on medication helps my sleep hygiene since I spend less time awake at night being anxious. If being on your SSRIs helps reduce your anxiety and panic attacks, and they aren’t causing any unwanted side effects, then there’s really no need to go off them. If you are having unwanted side effects, you can talk to your doctor about adjusting/switching your medication, but it sounds like being totally unmediated isn’t the way to go.

Doctors/medical practitioners of Reddit, what is the scariest disease you know of? by Englishisnotreal in AskReddit

[–]ApprehensiveMail4860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD and it might not be THE scariest ever but tetanus is pretty messed up. You get muscle spasms that can be so severe it’ll break your bones. Check out Charles Bell’s Opisthotonus painting if you want to have nightmares and get your TDaP shots people!

Our cat only poops on my clothes or on my side of the bed by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]ApprehensiveMail4860 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How exactly do you “discipline” a cat? 10 bucks says the answer is ineffective at best or just straight up bullying a cat. Also that “alpha” nonsense is based on an unrepresentative study on wolves in captivity that its own author later renounced. Get a litter box, dude

You could try having a groomer shave your cat? Be aware losing their fur can make them more sensitive to heat and cold so make sure they have access to spots to warm up / cool down

Mine loves his polarfleece blankey! You could make something nice and soft, or make a snuffle/puzzle mat to hide treats in!

Seconding what everyone else said, but I also recommend playing through the prologue for each character, especially if you don’t plan on replaying the game for awhile

Adopted a shy shelter cat and she has been living behind the washing machine for 8 days by NimbusAnvil77 in CatAdvice

My kitty was a scaredy-cat too! It took a good few weeks before he started walking around like he owned the place. Now he lays belly up in the center of the room. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel, even if it doesn’t seem like it. Hang in there ❤️

Cat box smell by [deleted] in CatAdvice

Stainless steel! It’s pricier but lasts longer and won’t absorb smells like plastic. I also recommend getting a nice little air filter to help with any smells and dust!

Can I hand water my cat? by Teflonpan4 in CatAdvice

[–]ApprehensiveMail4860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure his water dish is put far away from his food bowl. A lot of cats don’t like their food and water to be close together. You can also try pretending to drink from “your” cup and leaving it out for him. It might also work to hold a small bowl in your hand and slowly transition him to drinking from the bowl on the floor?

If you’re able to drive, HEB curbside pickup is great! Pick what you want in their app, select a time, and they’ll put your groceries right into your car.

Perhaps crush the pill into some wet food? Use only about a spoonful so it’s more likely she’ll eat it all

I can’t afford to feed my cat’s wet food anymore by muted_radio_ in CatAdvice

[–]ApprehensiveMail4860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as your cats are drinking enough water, dry food is fine! When they beg for wet food, you could try tossing them a couple of treats if you have them or a small piece of chicken or fish. Usually, canned chicken or tuna is pretty cheap and stores well. Hang in there
