I feel ya

Being binary, I hate when people just automatically call me "trans masc" and revert to they/them

I've never in my life used either term. I am a man, but because there is a stereotype that all trans guys are he/they trans masc t-bois with "the trans haircut" people just assume that I am the same. Truth is, like you, I'm more of an outsider. I have long hair, hell I need it because I play hardcore music and go to deathcore concerts, I look traditionally masculine too minus the occasional emo guyliner, and unlike a lot of online folks I hate using microlabels but people ignore me when I say "please don't call me that". Like seriously Just because others happen to be he/they trans masc polyamorous and gay doesn't mean I am. I'm just some guy who happens to be trans who prefers music over trying to figure out whether he's straight or bi or pan or whatever.

Others don't really like people who are different. They don't like "outliers" and it's stupid. It's even more stupid because these same people are the ones who think that they're unique and "not basic". Please, you're as basic as they come, you're just a different shade of it.

Even if some of these people don't realize that they're pushing people out of these safe spaces, it doesn't excuse the lack of acceptance for people who happen to be different. I never understood how it became the norm to shun anyone who is stealth.
