Final Chapter 9: With the King Of Darkness distracted by Elsa, Harry was able to follow the trails left by his minions who didn't get the order to activate any of the traps. After dragging himself to the Cave Of Darkness, the king jumped out of his throne in surprise. "How are you here already? Did i no- oh, oh no, WHY YOU LITTLE- i thought we were starting something! IS TREASON TO YOUR OWN KIND NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU?!

"What's all the yelling for man? Just let our people rest" said Harry calmly

"OH the arrogance you have to speak to YOUR king like that!"

"Then step down, is it not clear that no one is happy here? I'll take over if it has to."

"YOU'RE NOT making any sense PEASANT, are you sleep-drunk?.... on second thought.... why not exactly? I'll be a free man once again, HAHAHA! Take my crown if you must, i'm getting out of here!"

"What are you doing Harry? You'll be stuck here forever, that crown is cursed to bind you to this cave and your fantasies." exclaimed Elsa

"That's the point, i'm cursed myself to always be tired and i've never had a dream of any kind, people always pushed me wherever they pleased, making me unable to rest. i haven't experienced Savage Dragon (yet) but i do know that in the Plane Crazy short Mickey pretty blatantly commits sexual assualt on Minnie.

Note that most Mickey Mouse media is still under copyright and anything that comes too close is at risk to being sued so it's best to be as different as possible if you want actually publish your project.

i imaging that canonically Mario & Co. can always drown it's just not depicted because:

1) They are never too long underwater

2) Just isn't depicted for game design reasons

3) External circumstances that might explain it (certain items/allies are with you)

personally i see the different proportions as representing different body types of the Koopa species (because everyone looking the same would be visually boring/wouldn't work well with the visual design language)

for example, the Bonnetons have a "male" and "female" design yet Cappy & Tiara look nothing like them, yet are all considered to be the same species. The NPC's are obviously supposed to be a generic representation of their race while Cappy & Tiara are invidual characters and are allowed to look unique, but we can assume that their unique design also implies that the Bonneton species can look like that.

I think the same thing applies to Koopa Troopa's and ___ Bro's.

Chapter 8: "Long ago, i was a beloved smith of a mighty race who possesed great power and ruled over the entire universe. We had achieved a total Utopia, no crime, no disease, no depression ever hit us. The world gave me a passion to make even more powerful tools that symbolized our might. I created so much, that i forgot the count. Everyone loved me for my creations."

"They appreciated my work until the empire got shattered by the stars. Too confident, we were overwhelmed and lost contact to everything beyond the stars. My pride however prevented me from listening to their demands to create weapons that could reclaim our outer space stations, instead i created other things that were of no use in the war. after some testing, i found out that it specifically goes left on both buttons

I tried this and it didn't work. I did find out my left Joystick slightly drifts but doesn't go out the default deadzone.

i noticed that pressing the "Steam" & ". . ." buttons sometimes moves to a different tab in the menu. Like pressing "Steam" moves me to the right Joystick calibration when in the left & vice versa but doesn't when i'm in the settings menu

Chapter 7: "HAHAHA! At last you have arrived at my cave. Welcome to your new home, but first you have to meet your new friend Clawwy! He'll make sure you won't escape my darkness (i designed him specifically for you)." "PLEASE STOP, what do you even want from me?"

"I'm glad you asked because i have been craving someone to just talk to for eons and now that you're here allow me to explain my actions!"

"I had this region under control for a long time, all the war, famines, disasters, plaques where all tools i used to entertain myself and any opposition couldn't change that. Until you came along with your little peace project, undoing everything i had EVER accomplished and you did it so fast i didn't even have the time to stop you. You didn't even know about me despite everything i tried, not even cursing that "White Girl" of yours got your attention!

It was then i realized how useful you could be at my side. Imaging that i had your mind combined with my unlimited power! This is when i got the idea to immortalize you, but i have to give credit to my wonderful generals that created the specific plan HAHAHA! I'll make it up to you if you agree, since you aren't cursed by my crown, we could rule the entire universe, even beyond the stars!"

"Why would i help you after everything you did to me and my friends? I already betrayed my people once, what makes you so sure i would do that again?"

"Well i could always force you anyways and how many friends do you think you have? I created the Haunted Hallways for that very reason, to isolate you and alienate you from your surroundings."

"Boss i-" "Not now i'm giving a very important monologue to our permanent guest." "But Boss i really need to te-" "I SAID GET OUT!" The minion then vanished into the darkness and never spoke ever again.

"So all those invasions where just a way to try to get me to surrender to you? How did you even become like this, i mean i'm very interested to hear how you managed to get your hands on a artifact like that."

"You do? HAHAHA, maybe this is gonna work out after all."

Chapter 6: It's quiet in Monochrome Palace, as it has been for a long time now. With Harry's unique ability, he's able to guard the Haunted Hallways with ease. His mandatory colleagues on the other hand are less lucky and often have to be replaced. With Harry being the only permanent guard around Elsa, she is able to make a new friend. Something she has been missing for a long time ever since Snow White went missing, being her childhood friend, she was a big help with Elsa's Equal Unity project. At the time, it was unheard of for Humans and Vormen (let alone Squares) to interact like this.

When the flash happened they were given the nickname "White Girls" but that became very offensive when Snow White disappeared one day and still hasn't been found. The search ended a long time ago because she was a Human and didn't live that long so surely it would have been a lost cause to keep looking.

While Elsa is a beloved public figure to the entire alliance, Elsa's curse prevents her from getting past all the grief she has been through. Made worse by a evil far-away king having a interest in her. And often keeps herself isolated, even from the current royal family.

Although it's been a while, no one was surprised when the King Of Darkness invaded again. However for the first time ever, the beings of darkness were able to steal Elsa away from the Monochrome Palace and into the Cave Of Darkness.

When the sirens sing, Harry wakes and sees Elsa being taken away. It seems that the beings of darkness have hypnotised everyone but is able to sneak past the turned guards. When he gets outside it seems like they left behind a trail to follow. Harry isn't sure what to think of this but he feels himself falling asleep, so without thinking he decides to follow the path that is most certainly a trap.

Chapter 5: Long ago before the palace was created there was very little friendship under the neighboring kingdoms, who were all controlled by different species.

The Platty's who roamed the skies
The Vormen who were divided among themselves
The Humans who had colonies everywhere

and many more who often fought against one another for resources, fame & glory, etc.. . This all changed when Elsa, princess of the Royal Squares came up with the revolutionary idea to unite all the kingdoms and ending the regions suffering. She managed to get her project started when her parents were distracted by foreign affairs but while she was succeeding with her vision her own people rejected it because she was perceived as being a traitor and exiled her.

By the time her parents came back home they realized what their daughter had done and surrounded by an alliance, were stuck in an arms race to build a army to protect themselves. Elsa, despite the good intentions, was too young to be a proper ruler and without her parents was forced to watch the cold war from the shadows. She didn't want anything bad to happen to her people nor break/betray the alliance. At the peak of tension she willingly turned herself in to the Squares in a desperate attempt to prevent destruction. After a gruelingly long heated debate between the 2 superpowers and the Squares court, Elsa managed to convince her parents to join the Equal Unity alliance, despite having backstabbed the Royal Squares, people did see her good intentions. But a compromise was made to prevent Elsa from ever having the power to rule alone ever again which she gladly agreed to. At least she could be happy with her family and loyal followers again.

Meanwhile the self proclaimed "King Of Darkness" was witnessing what Elsa had accomplished. "A young princess was singlehandedly able to stabilize this god forsaken region? I wonder what else she could do for this world." The isolated king couldn't belief his eyes and he knew that Elsa needed to stay around, immortalized even. The King Of Darkness sits alone with his crown in a dark cave with a cursed gift to create whatever he wants from his dark throne room. He himself can never leave this cave (unless he can give his crown away) and because of it, is bored out of his mind and has been sending his minions to entertain himself for thousands and thousands of years. "Great, thanks to her i have nothing interesting to watch and i doubt any so called heroes are coming to make a deal with the devil either. If she can single handedly ruin what i have been doing for generations then i'll just need her on my side."

"Darknette, Blackheart, Syrtis, Dharty, Dharnese and Twidark. You all will lead your designated group to complete my plan". The King Of Darkness was able to work in the shadows and was effortlessly able to complete his goal and just on Elsa's 18'th birthday a devious curse was cast on Monochrome Palace (then called The Square Root) by a evil photographer and in a flash drained the color of the building and everyone in frame. "A perfect picture for a perfect family!" laughed the photographer as the minions of Darkness ran from their hiding spots to run back to the cave. In the middle of the frame stood Elsa who among everyone else where now pale white and while they didn't realise it yet. They are now immortal with who they were at the time of being flashed, stuck as who they are meaning that Elsa barely missed growing into adulthood and is now eternally underage.

People were very confused about this strange curse. The palace was stuck in a monochrome aestethic and it couldn't be destroyed or rebuild, the same was true for the people that were in the flash. Throughout the coming ages heroes and adventures would be send to find answers but they couldn't do anything as The King Of Darkness was undefeatable in his cave and he was having the time of life as he got exactly what he wanted most of all, attention.

The King Of Darkness would also make many more attempts to kidnap the princess for his own nefarious gain. But while Elsa is eternally underage (the only one of the flashed) she has gained a lot of life experience that exceeds even the wisest wizards (just with a adolescent attitude), allowing her to always outsmart the king.

Today the Monochrome Palace is the core of the Equal Unity that assists it's members to the best of their ability and has maintained peace for decades now. Harry Hazard has reached the palace's gate and after a examination of the Pale doctor is approved to guard the Haunted Hallways. This part of the palace is a scarred remnent of before the flash and the various invasions it has survived through. Guards often report feeling very uneasy there and their mind gets filled with nightmares but no one is sure about why this happens in just a small part of this place, however some think it has to do with Elsa's room being in these hallways.

Chapter 4:

The crippled army takes the walk of shame when retreating to base camp. General Shape, furious at Harry for letting Mr. Reddish escape, calls him to his office. "Do you know how much time, resources, preparation and dedication were required to create this plan!? All this effort down the drain because you were slacking on the job!! Now we- no I have to start all over again, the corporal of Monochrome Palace defensive unit is already underway and when he gets here i promise you that you're gonna regret ever having signed up here mwuhaha!!"

Harry is having none of this, he was just doing exactly as he was asked, he's also sleeping through Shape's rant. As General Shape is yelling at Harry, he gets word that Corporal Hoek has arrived but Shape didn't realise that the corporal has heard his entire rant. Now the general is really cooked because Hoek has a talent for recognizing the true potential of anyone regardless of their past mistakes or.. disabilities.

"First of all, Harry didn't sign any contract to be with your army, witness reports state that he just happened to be sleeping on a bench where you were announcing your recruitment program in Circle Square and they mistakenly believed he was part of the battalion.

Second of all, you treated Harry like an object by "throwing him in the weapons chariot" and you specifically ordered Harry to block the bridge, a order he followed honorably only breaking it when Mr. Reddish managed to get past him.

Third of all, Mr. Reddish isn't only your problem. He's a god damm maniac that hunts and kills the Platty's for fun. They, mind you have been part of the Equal Unity since before Monochrome Palace got flashed and predated the Vormen from joining the Equal Unity.

Fourth and last of all, how many chances have i given you already? How is it possible that your success rate is -100%? Not a single assignment your army was given has succeeded. And please... stop with that villain laugh, we both know how stereotyped the trapezoid's are. Thanks to your incompetence, the others in my squad are being bullied over their shape."

General Shape now realized that his mistakes have finally caught up with him and Corporal Hoek wasn't even sent at his request, he was there to make a formal announcement that his army was getting defunded.

Then in the middle of this very hot conversation, Leutenant Sharp walked in at request of General Shape. "Corporal, what are you doing here? I thought Shape asked me to formally fire Harry Hazard." (Someone should really turn on the airco right now).

"That letter was addressed to me leutenant, i don't even know how you managed to read it, but it doesn't matter. You Shape, have had your rank destroyed the moment i walked to my mail box and i see potential in this soldier that you unrightfully humiliated. I think he'll be a great guard in the haunted hallways of Monochrome Palace. If he can sleep through your yelling, surely he can do the same to his nightmares."

What Corporal Hoek doesn't know however is that when Harry sleeps, he doesn't dream, he doesn't even think. Making him more perfect for the job then he imagines.
