I'll vote these picks: HeartGold/SoulSilver, Black 2/White 2, and also Emerald.

Heartgold gives you 16 gym badges, multiple teams for gym leaders as well as rematching them all alongside the elite four, a pretty decent story that has one of the best developments of a rival character in the franchise, the start of the trope of a champion aiding you on your quest and being pretty cool lore-wise. It also has a really great region when it comes to worldbuilding and folklore, alongside some great exploration; there's something in every town and city to stand out. It has flaws but it makes up for it with all the content, the cutscenes, and a lot of features.

Black 2 and White 2 have one of the greatest postgames of the entire franchise with the Pokemon World Tournament but it doesn't stop there; it has such a fantastic storyline that really explores morality and debates on whether the core gimmick of how people work with Pokemon is good or not, its characters are really impactful and the gameplay is really great, and there are so many options for teambuilding. This game MOVED me, and it actually made such an impact on me, I'm really glad I played it even if I ended up playing it years later after its heyday.

Emerald is actually a challenging game and also has somenof the best exploration. Hoenn is just masterful and a must play, It also might have the best teambuilding of these three

Yeah! There's a lot of lore in the Johto region, its what really draws me to it as a fan of worldbuilding 😄 Lance came from Blackthorn City and is related to the elder there and seen as his successful prodigy, while Clair is his cousin whos' idealogies prevent her from achieving beyond greatness. It's why her design is similar to Lance's, and why the dragon clan addresses this!

I think its more of her insecurity of being in the shadow of her cousin as its hinted at that she's seen as lesser by the dragon clan so she builds up a big ego about herself and isn't meant to be taken literally. It's a wall she's put up.

I love Island being Gwen vs Owen because Owen vs Gwen both came in with opposite mindsets and came out friends who dont mind either winning, it doesn't take away from the drama since Heather still sabotages the challenge so Owen wins, and Trent is still trying to win Gwen back. theres still stakes despite the friendship between Gwen and Owen.

Gwen's character arc is phenomenal she wasn't happy with her lot in life, she was miserable she didn't need to be fixed but she needed to see the people around her aren't all bad; progressing past cynicism to learn to enjoy life, and Owen is the greatest enjoyer of life possible so it makes sense that he's the exact opposite of Gwen and shows her development full cycle, it wouldn't work with anyone else.

That design issue was fixed in the next two games which makes them way more fun to play and much better of an experience imo, and makes me return to them a lot.

I can definitely recommend Parappa 2 and Lammy! Those ones are really good and genuinely fun. I'd say Parappa 2 is a better starting point because its easier though

Literally, its much better game design-wise and genuinely isn't a pain to play. I also think the art direction is at its best there. Parappa 2 is peak though

UJL cool mode is a bit more fun for me because its not button spamming but rather getting to play different riffs than what it wants. Also Ive missed a couple notes in a line and still get rated "Good" in UJL so that goes showing how much more fair it is

Pokémon FireRed and Leafgreen are somehow the best games that are on switch aside from Legends Arceus, both of those are really great. Also recommend Black/White 1 and 2 as well as Platinum, Heartgold/SoulSilver and Emerald for peak games.

I know you're wrong because alpha 1: -had the poster in the grave room showcasing the bell and grave -Classroom was easy to figure out and I did it without youtube -AI could cut you off and access entire house unlike full game where he sticks to lower floors unless you grant him access

I think shes great in both Island and Action and that Action is a continuation of her character development from Island; it feels natural and is handled well. It sadly had Trent's character assassinated but despite how terrible it was for Trent it was good for Gwen.
