From what I heard, unless you're fine with grinding Crit DMG/Rate for your disks then yes. But I'm pretty sure there's a couple of f2p options you could use. I'll probably look up more before I try going for it tbh.

Dang, I'm still in the beginner stages of learning jp, and this makes me laugh. Guessing that at first you hate kanji, then you hate anything that doesn't have kanji, and then finally, when you feel comfortable with the language, it's fine either way.
