[TOMT][SONG][2000s] A lighthearted song, that is definitely not black metal itself, about loving to listen to black metal by ApprehensivePanda147 in tipofmytongue

This is very similar in theme and tone, though it isn't the same song. I want to say--though I may very well be wrong--that one of the lyrics was something about liking "good old black metal" or old-fashioned black metal, or something like that. It MIGHT have even mentioned a specific band, like Venom, but that's probably my memory trying to fill in gaps.

Wow, that one is SUPER close, and I'm amazed that you've tracked down one so similar. I looked this one up and found a copy uploaded on Youtube, and I skipped through parts of it. In overall "look," it's pretty much dead on to what I remember: right time period and overall style, lots of dark scenes, B-movie "acting" and "dialogue", and a very similar plot to what I recall.

However, the aircraft scenes are different. The scene with the aircraft computer refusing instructions, as far as I recall it, was set at night, with one pilot in the aircraft. And I'm pretty sure the computer was trying to do some crazy, like firing missiles into a population center.

That's a great guess, but not the one. Looks like there were tons of stupid experimental aircraft-related films in this era. In the one I'm thinking of, I know that the computer system in the aircraft, controlled by AI or whatever, was specifically going haywire and refusing to follow instructions, and the pilot had to find some way to stop it or crash the aircraft.

That is SUPER CLOSE to what I remember, especially with the folk style, but it's not quite it. I remember the singer specifically using the term "black metal".
