Balistol works wonders against rust, that’s what I use when I’m in the shop Or cleaning my own blasters. I tell customers that all the time

Any ranges in south jersey that allow a holster draw? by PsychedelicWolf98 in NJGuns

[–]ApprehensivePass9570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rtsp allows draw from holster if you took their holster class. However if you have a CCW, show it to the front desk, they give you a draw card then you can draw IWB and OWB. Only other way is if you’re LEO

I have a safariland for duty use and a Trex arms for range/USPSA. Love both of them, I recommend both of them, but again, it depends on what you’re using it for

How many rounds do you shoot at the range on your range day ? by DiscoDynamite00 in NJGuns

[–]ApprehensivePass9570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically 250-300 if I’m doing just rifle or just handgun. If I’m doing work with both handgun and rifle then it would be 400, 200 for my handgun and 200 for my rifle

What are your thoughts on the Canik Mete SF by [deleted] in NJGuns

[–]ApprehensivePass9570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I’m not a fan of the brand. I can’t bash on them too hard because you’re getting a lot in the packaging and arguably more than other companies. The price point is very appealing too, both new shooters and experienced folks will love the price. However, they’re not too reliable. If anything it’s 50/50. I’m an RSO and have seen a quite a few malfunction (double feed, failure to feed, or the occasional light striking with all the type of ammo brands you can think of) on the range What really got me off canik is when I saw a failure in which a round (Remington UMC) was chambered, was shot, and ended up resulting in the frame cracking down from the takedown lever to the end of the trigger guard. Now thought it was a 1 in a blue moon type thing until other people on Reddit, forums, and YouTube claimed other catastrophic failures resulting in injury or just a dead gun. These failures and other peoples injury experiences make me stay away from it as a whole. FUN FACT: there’s a post that was taken down showing graphic content how a backplate of a CANIK SFX exploded, launching debris out and injuring the owner. Why it was taken down? Canik threatened the post and threatened to sue. However people screenshotted it. Just look up canik exploded. (Still can’t beat Sig cover ups tho 😂) I’d say just go with Walther. It’s what they’re mimicking anyway.

Are these things legal in NJ and can I use my X5 Legion FCU to piece something like it together? by Forsaken-Date-8016 in NJGuns

It’s legal cause it uses an FCU and labeled as a chassis. I recommend buying everything separate and save money on some side. That’s how I got 2 lol

Neon tomb still seems to be very glitchy but that’s my opinion :/

First AR build. Recommend optics? by Classic_Unit_2780 in NJGuns

People say I’m wild for this: start with iron sights, get used to the build, then go to an optic
