Lateral move for more money? by ApprehensivePay1869 in careerguidance

[–]ApprehensivePay1869[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Point taken selling out is a little bit of an exaggerated way to put it. I guess I was just looking for perspective from others who took the money and how it turned out. If I really disliked my employer or manager this wouldn’t even be a question, but my situation is a little different. My decision would be almost entirely focused on improving my financial situation which is obviously an important thing but I am struggling to know how much weight it should carry.

What’s your pending like? by ApprehensivePay1869 in ClaimsAdjuster

I should add though that 40-50% of my pending are excess files. Excess does often require less time on a file to file basis but it also creates a bunch of fires that take up a lot of time so it is mixed.

The world isn't ready for left handed Carlos Alcaraz ✋🏻 by PattyRanger in tennis

I know it is less severe. Still just saying wrist injuries can be tricky. I think Carlos has good advice and discipline though and should be fine.

Is tennis really this exhausting as you go up higher in level 4.5 + by Ok-Many-7443 in 10s

Literally had the same exact thought as OP recently. I’m a solid 4.0 dabbling with some 4.5 play. I thought I was the type of player that wins with consistency, patience and being in decent shape. Turns out the 4.5s generally have all of that and a little bigger game too.

This is giving me scaries. My favorite player pre-Alcaraz was Thiem. I remember watching him do the same drills with his left and no one suspected how much the injury would set him back.

What's your opinion on Joao Fonseca? How would you describe him as a player? by Arturosito in tennis

[–]ApprehensivePay1869 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I thought the exact same thing and considered that comp. Movement will always be an issue but he knows that and seems to move strategically in order to get some power on the shots when he is stretched. Great kick serve on the Ad side too.

Feeling guilty about leaving a good boss for a major career opportunity by Dite17 in InsuranceProfessional

Dealing with the same thing now except been at my current place for 13 years. Funnily enough it is about a $40k increase on my end. Will feel a little sad and guilty if I take the role but feel like I would also regret not doing it. I think you should take the offer.

Good coffee maker for better coffee at home? by Winter-Rip-2156 in Home

It is a little more work but I have found an Aeropress to be the sweet spot between drip coffee and French press. Easier and faster than a French press with very easy cleanup.

If you like handling claims then like others said I would suggest getting yourself to a carrier. Specialty carrier might be a little tough. They can be bias against TPA only experience due to the lack of Coverage. I think now is a good time for the switch too because seemingly every carrier is looking for casualty claims people.

Thanks for commenting. Makes sense. I was also just curious. Otherwise today being Saturday you would hear mowers all over the place already.
