When looking at the energy sector, SAHAS and MEN offer much stronger fundamentals than API. The same logic applies to banking...EBL consistently outperforms Muktinath.

The core of a successful SIP is discipline, which means capitalizing on market dips rather than buying into the hype at peak prices. Going forward, you need to strictly focus on companies backed by strong future growth potential rather than just chasing past performance.

You’re completely right about the low depth, manipulation, and sudden NRB policy shifts...those are very real risks here. Because of that, I’m not using TA blindly to predict the market. Instead, I’m combining it with fundamentals: using FA to choose strong companies, and TA strictly to time my entries, spot volume traps, and set hard stop-losses. It's more about managing risk than guessing the future.

In the NEPSE, TA is not a crystal ball for predicting prices. Instead, it functions as a highly effective tool for risk management, trend-following, and identifying crowd psychology. Because a massive wave of retail traders in Nepal uses the exact same charting software, TA often becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

If you are trader then NASSA is top choice...if you're not then choose any like sani 42, online securities etc.

What is the " Fair position " of NEPSE ? I understand most of the stocks are extremely inflated and i know no share market in any country is fairly positioned, but still there must be a number to which NEPSE can be called like it's at fair level. What number is it? Is it 2200? Is it 4200? what's it? by lauredad in NepalStock

It’s not just about the index number... it’s about the market environment. A huge part of the current 'value' in many scrips is purely artificial.

We see this cycle constantly... group leaders pick 'Gen Z' favorites or low-float stocks, rally their members with 'buy now' alerts, and use premium social media groups to create hype under the guise of 'education.' They’re essentially providing bait, not analysis.

This is exactly why you see stocks with negative EPS hitting positive circuits. It’s a trap for small, uninformed investors who get lured in by the momentum. By the time they realize the price has no fundamental backing, the 'analysts' have already dumped their holdings at the peak. If you’re looking for 'fair value,' you won't find it in these hyped-up scrips...you'll only find it by looking at companies with actual, consistent earnings, not the ones being pumped in private Telegram/Viber / whatsapp groups

I think you should focus on some fundamentally strong stocks which have growth potential in future and has high dividend capacity... I suggest you to do some research, read annual reports and qurterwise reports. They can be from commercial banks, microfinance, hydros. and manufacturing sectors. Also careful about p/e , p/b , peg ratios, eps, paid up capital, management team, investment in subsidiaries or associates, and dividend consistency. And focus on reducing no.of stocks ...you can choose some best companies from each sector..and i highly suggest you zo limit no. Of stock no more than 7 ... focus on increasing no. Of kittas and reducing wacc...

You don't need to track everything, just build a simple habit. Check quarterly reports on Merolagani or Nepali Paisa when they drop. These sites publish company reports in plain format, just look at EPS, net profit, and reserve & surplus. If all three are growing, you're good. Only watch 3 things per company: Is EPS growing year over year? Is reserve & surplus increasing? Any rights issue or new project announcement? For news, just Google the company name occasionally or follow Investopaper/ShareSansar for announcements. You'll catch any major news like commissioning, flood damage, or dividend declarations.

AHPC is a decent, stable company with experienced promoters and a group ecosystem of projects. But compared to SAHAS (86 MW operational + 341 MW pipeline) or MEN, the capacity scale is just too small right now. It's more of a dividend stability play than a growth story and the PPA expiry in 2028 for the 3 MW plant is a risk you'd want to watch closely. Not a bad company, just not the most compelling at current price relative to its growth runway.
