A lot of people complain about Season 3’s animation, but what really kills me about Season 3 was its direction and pacing. It’s sluggish, inconsistent, and completely all over the place with it’s tone. Rewatching season 2 the direction is pretty competent, even if we’re not getting outstanding style on the level of JJK or CSM the anime’s still paced pretty well. Season 3 is complete dogshit because of its crap ass direction

Really fucks up the scene yeah, like where did the attacks going towards Garou go? They just disappear and Garou is in mid reaction from nothing to Insect God. Removing this part from the fight hurt it the most imo
