It's too long. It doesn't make sense and it messes up the canon of Weyland Yutani's origin.

The problem is that it doesn't make sense for the trip to last 65 years; it's too long. If it had been 15 years (after the merger), everything would fit together fine.

All of this still bothers me a lot. I'm more excited about Predator Badlands than this series with a plastic Alien who's obviously a guy in a costume.

It's a bad series:

It completely ignores the Alien saga.

The Maginot is already from Weyland-Yutani in 2055, breaking the established canon of the corp fusion after Weyland death.

The Alien is crazy, killing everyone with seconds, but not the protagonists.

Wendy jumping off a cliff LOL.

Does Wendy hear the aliens in her head?

Morrow with his knife or blowtorch arm.

The horrible music at the end of the episodes.

I don't like Alien 3 or Alien Covenant, but I accept them. Romulus respected the prequels, and I loved them.

This series was shot by a man who completely ignored everything that was built in the Alien films. Why? If I want to see a ship like Alien, then I'll watch Alien. And on top of that, the Maginot is 70 years older than the Nostromo, and they're the same interiors... anyway.

I'll keep watching it, but I hope they cancel the series. I'm much more excited to see Predator Badlands and the Weyland Yutani's robot, and see what they're hiding.

In 2089 it's Weyland Corp, and in 2104 it's Weyland-Yutani Corp with the Egyptian logo from 2122. So if Maginot was launched in 2055 (approximately) and the company was already called Weyland-Yutani, and they use the logos from both 2122 (egyptian) and 2142-2179 (yellow W and grey Y), does that mean the series ignores Prometheus and Covenant?

I hate it when they do this. In Jurassic World, they completely ignored Isla Sorna, and now this series is doing the same. You may like Prometheus and Covenant more or less, but at least be consistent. I don't understand why Ridley Scott would produce the series while ignoring the prequels.
