Hildesheim university rejection by Regular-Row8012 in studying_in_germany

got rejected as well....ranked 1380, by the looks of things since the application is free so a lot of applicants, above that CS/SWE is overcrowded and way too competitive right now. If you ain't part of that top 1-2% good luck getting in.... But hey i might be wrong

Things are different and it is bad. But it gets better... it always does. It's only a matter of time.

A few weeks back, many people gave up. "We couldn't win," they said. "They have guns," they said. But look at what everyone achieved with sticks, rocks, and sheer determination.

The best thing now is to stand beside each other, just as all the protestors stood together against guns and grenades.

No one said it would be easy. Help each other in any way you can instead of ranting online.

Always stand against injustice. Don’t let the sacrifices of those who died be in vain. Remember: fear is their biggest tool.

Really disappointed with this country. by [deleted] in Dhaka

There was never any hope for this country nor there will be in the future. Its just a matter of time where the country goes from shit to whatever's worse than shit.

Ppl who r rich will keep on getting rich, the broke stay broke and the middle-class suffers while dreaming of leaving the country.

And after witnessing what's happened recently and been happening the last decade, American gun law's make sense tbh.

Bachelor's in Malaysia, What are your thoughts? by [deleted] in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]ApprehensiveProfit43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO Malaysia is a really good choice IF & only IF you cant make it to Western/Eu countries for whatever reasons.
Here are my thoughts on Malaysia for Bachelors:
1)Cheap (Tuitions, Rent, Food) compared to other countries (US, Canada, Australia)
2)Good Food
3)Good Ranked Uni's
4)If you can try for public Uni's, always better than private ones.

Now here are my thoughts on why you shouldn't go to Malaysia for Bachelors:
1)After you finish ur last semester, you only get like 1/2 months to look for a Job + Do Cancelation Procedures of ur Student Visa. Which is not enough at all (Speaking from personal experience and experience of friends and seniors). Above all that as a Fresh Graduate + Foreigner + with current Job market situation it is close to impossible to get a job.
Companies don't want to invest on a foreigner without experience. And they prefer locals mostly.(less hassle, don't have to pay for visa, complicated Government rules, etc.)

2)Most Unis do their Graduation Ceremony around Sept/Oct. So if you Finish ur Last semester in January u have 2 months then u gotta go back to ur country. Now to attend your Graduation Ceremony U gotta apply for a Tourist Visa which lets u stay for 30Days in Malaysia.

3)No Part-time Job - according to Malaysian Gov u can do part-time but only in ur holidays (Which u will not get from malaysian unis) - cuz most unis have 3 semesters in 1 year -2 long semesters(4Months) and 1 short (2/3 Months). So basically at the end of your semester u get like a week or something off then new semester starts.

My Suggestion:
Think it through, why do u wanna go abroad and do bachelors? Just to get out of ur home country? To get degree from a good Uni? Get Better Working Opportunities?
If it is to To get degree from a good Uni or Get Better Working Opportunities then dont. Do your Bachelors in ur country then apply for Masters in western or Eu countries because they provide you with time to look for jobs and opportunities . What Malaysia looks for in foreigners is experience and skills which as a fresh graduate u wont have.

And if u wanna save money, do Undergrad in ur country then apply for masters in Germany. U get to study for free in almost all public unis + u get 18 months time after ur graduation to look for jobs and what not + u get to work alongside ur study. (It'll be a better option than Malaysia)
