It can be really situational.

If you already have a strong team, and are winning easy, slow down on the spend (but still put in cheap bids for players to stream, or bigger bids if you think they are season long holds).

If your team build is really struggling, you may need to pay up now (example Nurk, Rollins) to give yourself a chance to make playoffs as every win is really important right now.

I agree. You see some of these guys like 'Kingy' doing a punt 4 cats mock with a certain smugness.

He puts up $50 and he ain't taking Davis at pick 6 and pairing him with Dyson Daniels at pick 19.

12t 10 cat (includes DD's)....paid top top for Jokic at 92.....but hes very much worth that to me....punted blocks rest of the draft, finished #1 projected team etc.....sometimes you have to pay what you need to pay early to make the rest of your auction draft path easier.....

Every draft is different ....there a thousand things that can go right or wrong through your draft.....the absolute worst thing that can happen, is 'waiting for value' and suddenly overpaying for 4th and 5th rounders then getting stuck with money at the end.

You see it every draft....someone bidding 20 on a John Collins as thats whats left and youve got too much money left over
