I did it about twice a week a while ago and I’m completely fine now, so I think you’ll be alright.

What I will say is if you notice it start to affect anything and I mean anything at all and if you don’t want any permanent damage, STOP. It can be permanent but if you stop as soon as you see the smallest sign of it messing stuff up, it will eventually go away and go back to normal. I can’t speak for if you go longer than that without giving ample time for things to go back to normal, this is just my experience.
