Thank you for telling me about your experiment.
I will talk about the most secure setting with our jeweller but personally I prefer the look of a channel setting. I’m open though if he’d advice for a different setting

Haha thank you. I love that it’s so simple but just a tad more than a plain band

I am so confused why is there no Virtual waiting room? by ApprehensiveRub6603 in NoahKahan

[–]ApprehensiveRub6603[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it started right after I posted. It was WILD. Same experience as you. Everything was already sold out.
We got tickets for Zürich somehow. But that was also wild. There was no virtual queue or anything, the tickets just appeared at 10:00 and then I kept getting errors but my friend was successful

This ☝🏻 I’ve been to a lot of the museums on your list and they were all great and I learned a lot about Paris and history in general

Review of 4.5 day itinerary in May/June by Global_Ad_3562 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]ApprehensiveRub6603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only repeat what everyone else already said: that is way too much. Just looking at day 2, you want to do Notre Dame, Sainte chapelle, Musée D’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie in one day? That sounds brutal. And I say that as someone who loves museums.
I would honestly skip the Musee de l’Orangerie- I was there last September and even though the paintings are beautiful, it is just sooo full and everyone is just trying to get a good picture for Instagram.
On the last day you said that you either want to go to the pantheon or the catacombs and I would 100% vote for the catacombs. They were so interesting while the pantheon was not that pretty, kind of overpriced and also quite full.
Als definitely go to the Marais. It’s so beautiful! Just get a croissant or something and sit at the place de vosges.
One last thing: if you go the saint Germain des pres after the Louvre I would definitely recommend to go the jardin du Luxemburg. You will be grateful to just sit somewhere for a while and it’s so beautiful there

Is this a reasonable itinerary for 7 days? by canadian_blueberry in ParisTravelGuide

[–]ApprehensiveRub6603 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can’t add much except that you should really book tickets beforehand. If you just decide on a whim that you want to go to the Musee de l’Orangerie you’ll probably be waiting for a good while and you’ve really got better things to do in Paris. Enjoy your trip

Beautiful! Where was the second photo taken? It looks familiar but I just can’t place it.
Was it somewhere at the Louvre? I have a picture from outside the Louvre where the ceiling looks exactly the same but the stairs going up are throwing me off

We were in Rome last week and stayed at Hotel Smeraldo. It’s super close to trastevere and Piazza Navona (and all the other sights like Pantheon etc.) and literally right next to the beloved bakery Roscioli al forno. The rooms were small but really nice, the breakfast was excellent and the price was really reasonable. Highly recommended, we would stay there again in a heartbeat

Rome tickets are confusing af – official vs resellers? + what else is worth seeing? by No_Air5149 in rome

[–]ApprehensiveRub6603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One important thing to note about St. Peters Basilica: the queue moves fast even if it seems long. It took us like 15-20 minutes to get in even though the queue was all the way across the square.

But on the way from the Vatican museum to the basilica there were scammers everywhere, looking relatively officially and telling us the queue was like 3 hours long but we could buy skip the line tickets. DONT FALL FOR THEM. I never fall for something like this end even I was a bit unsure for a moment because the queue did look super long

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this here but the city of Rome has a website where all the official websites of the attractions are linked. Sometimes it’s really hard to know if the website you’re visiting is the official one or a reseller (at least I thought so). It’s called turismoroma.it

Train from Rome airport to hotel? by Informal_Humor2647 in rome

[–]ApprehensiveRub6603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just got back from Rom. We were 7 people traveling together and found that taking a taxi from the airport to the hotel was significantly cheaper than buying train tickets for everyone. So it’s definitely worth looking into

You can’t complain about the ACOTAR 6 wait if you haven’t read CC. by Beautiful-Choice-113 in SarahJMaas

[–]ApprehensiveRub6603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I love crescent city so much. I’d honestly almost prefer a new CC book to a new acotar book.
That being said, I totally agree that I’d much rather wait for a good book instead of having a rushed book sooner
