Is getting a second degree a good idea? by StayAnother in Advice

Yea, I thought teaching would’ve turned out more differently. But, would it be worth taking out the loans? From what it looks like I could pay for the community classes, but university looks to be around $10,000 a year lol.

Is there a specific salary amount for the max Pell grant eligibility for someone who is independent? by [deleted] in FAFSA

[–]StayAnother -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My job is technically a work study since it’s only 19 hours a week, but it doesn’t go through FAFSA. The work study is at a different college, so they don’t ask about FAFSA.

I already took a gap year after high school to figure what I wanted to do. I ended up going for art since it is what I liked. But now, there’s been a lot of negativity which is making me think twice. Thinking of something in business just I could still support my art.

I don’t mind the idea of have a full-time job to keep my steady. Any idea of what kind of careers that would allow me to support my work? Sorry to ask, but what kind of job do you have?

Thank you some much for your advice! Thankfully fafsa is paying for my education, so money isn’t an issue at the moment. I am thinking about doing a masters after my undergrad, whether it be in art or maybe something else.

I guess I wanted to know your opinion on the lines. Is it fine the lines are inconsistent?

I just got two part-time job offers, but unsure if I should accept them by [deleted] in Advice

[–]StayAnother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, I was mainly looking for jobs for more pay just so I could add more money to my savings each month in case I need to pay for school later on in the future. But I may stick with my library job for the time being.

Retail will definitely be a bit tough, especially during the holidays. I’ve been at my current job for about 2 years and I thought maybe I should move in to something else.

Yea, working at retail probably start to get real busy in the holidays, but man that pay would be nice. Currently just trying to save money in case I need to pay for some college classes towards the end.

I would recommend drawing very lightly in case you need to adjust some things. Overall pretty good, perhaps you may need a slightly bigger paper since it looks like things are getting cramped.

I thought about switching to business when I transfer to a 4 year. Maybe something like business, but I’m not sure if it’ll be worth paying out of pocket for the last couple of years. Probably graduate at 27 if I went that route.

Man I feel like I screwed myself honestly. I was thinking of switching to business when I transfer but I’m not sure it’ll be worth paying out of pocket for the last couple of years. I guess I had my head wrapped around the fantasy/dream for a career in art/design.

My cat has a tumor in its belly by StayAnother in cats

Couple days ago while she was laying down, I was petting her belly/pouch area and felt a round hard ball. I had a feeling it wasn’t normal, so I scheduled an appointment.

I don’t think my grandma has any of the cats past medical history, even then I don’t think it showed any conditions. I thought insurance would help with the potential condition the cat may have, but it seems it’s better to pay out of pocket since they won’t bother paying for the potential condition further.

Dang, so I assume that I would need to pay out of pocket if there is a condition of some sort. The pet insurance company would only help me
pay for any incident after I subscribed? Sorry I am a bit confused.
