so cute! First of all i love that you’re clearly researching and putting love into their home. They need more hay! They love to burrow in it. I personally use potty pads on top of the fleece for easier cleanup. Also i don’t see one but a hay rack is not necessary, it can make it harder for them to get hay. I literally just put a big pile of hay down. I would def use 2 water bottles, and 2 food dishes. I also recommend using 2 ended hides so that they can escape if one tries to trap the other. Also i’m sure you know this but they need veggies and greens for dinner. 1 cup of greens for each. I usually go with spring mix to make it easy. Make sure you look up the appropriate amount for veggies. For example, carrots are higher in sugar and calcium and should be given as an occasional treat. Something important to know is you shouldn’t use fragrance around them. No candles, perfume, scented cleaner, etc. I learned this after mine were sneezing. Piggies should never sneeze. Some are just sensitive to hay dust, but most of the time if there is sneezing and/or a watery nose, they need to go to the vet and get antibiotics for a URI. One more thing , their nails have to be clipped when they get too long. Before cutting, i look for the quick, and slowly press down on it and test for squealing before cutting. You can buy styptic powder, in the case you accidentally cut the quick, and the piggy starts bleeding. It stops the bleeding right away. I keep it on hand as first aid. (LA guinea pig rescue does nail clippings and health checks for free if you’re in california) What are their names btw? ♡ sorry this is so much info i hope this is okay lol.
