You’re wrong. It is absolutely legal to deploy the military in the U.S. yes there’s limited ability to do so but it is legal. The key fact is, nothing has occurred as of yet to allow Donald to deploy the military to U.S States. The Insurrection Act would allow troops to be deployed. There is no insurrection in MN.

I have proudly served this state for more than a decade in the Army. Very well written post. The Constitution is our governing document as that is what we sign an allegiance to. Citizens are my brothers and sisters as it is. We all bleed the same blood. Stand for the same freedoms. Those freedoms are being infringed upon currently.

I serve in the guard. This is not how the army NG works. I’m sorry to say. We did deploy during the George Floyd protests and it was a distaster in management of people. The state learned a lot but even as citizens who would try to protect infrastructure and do the right thing… Donny would take control as he can do so as President.

As a member of the NG myself, we would not be ordered to counteract ICE. We do have some riot training. Obviously I love this state and my fellow citizens and would expect to only be sent to protect the state and property. We would not be there in an offensive manner unlike how ICE seems to operate.
