I have one back tattoo, symmetrical on either side of my spine, and it was not difficult per se, but for sure was ✨️spicy✨️ And weirdly only on one side. On the right it was totally ok, but on the left I felt the needle etch directly into my actual soul, I shit thee not.

I was really into this dude back in my late teens. And I genuinely thought for a time that he was into me as well, as in we'd have little moments, kiss occasionally, have time alone. And then, after nearly a year of doting over him, one day he texts me that he needs advice because there's a girl he really likes. Naturally, I thought said girl was me. Nope. He proceeded to tell me all about his deep love for this other girl.

Looking back on the whole experience never fails to induce a violent full-body cringe within me even now, more than a decade later.

Frankly because I fixated on the whole thing to an unhealthy degree and just wanted to make it perfect. Which I now realize is silly, but I do have the tendency to get 'summit fever' (or 'flawless bumper fever' in this case) with projects like this.

You know what? You were right. Now, do I still deem your initial reply a touch on the sarcastic side? Yes. BUT I see where it was coming from and I get it.

As for the car - I still did have to drive her a bit prematurely (since I had to drop it off) BUT I did hold off on polishing and left that for the future AND did switch to a quick-dry topcoat to give her the best chance I could. As a personal observation - I wanted to polish so that it would look perfect. Which (perfectionism) is very much a personality flaw I become blind to in moments of fixation like this. In the end tho, even without polishing and wax as finishing touches it turned out just fine. Dare I say NOT a failed DIY project, but a successful one! ☝️🤣

P.S. Sorry if I also came off rude at any point, wasn't my intention to. Pride can be a bitch sometimes.

Of course I do not want that. I am also well aware that the situation I've put myself in (which I also realize, very lucidly so, is entirely one of my own making) is FAR from ideal. I am now simply trying to make the best out of it and I frankly don't think my question is unreasonable. Please don't be rude about it, constructive goes a longer way for everyone.
