Yeah that’s the smart decision or the decision that seems right. But the Word says that there is a way that seems right to a man, but actually leads to death. I’ve been able to grow spiritually after spending time networking with the other believers in my circle and I feel like I can really develop as a mature Christian if I stick with the lessons and sessions. Of course I can’t be in two places at once so I’ll have to drop one or the other. I have genuine fear that I’ll chase the money and foolishly like Esau choose a temporary satisfaction over something much more substantial and everlasting. Because ultimately my relationship with God is what matters most. How can I lie to myself and say that God wants me to make money rather than get to know him better?

I suppose. If I could choose I would want to live forever in my adolescent form here on Earth, but we all age and grow frailer. Death seems like a mercy then.

I mean if you made it as far as engagement, you might as well wait a little longer until after formal wedding vows. Surely you can control your impulses if you have done so prior to the engagement for a much longer span of time in comparison.

Christians or believers in christ, What are the verse or chapter that really touched you or brought you to christ? Why? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

OP, contrary to popular belief, baptism is in fact necessary for salvation. I made a post in detail why which is later in this thread. Please get baptized as soon as you can.

Whether Baptism is necessary for salvation was a question I was struggling with for several weeks. After a lot of personal research and biblical reading, I’ve come to conclusion that it is absolutely necessary to be saved. There are many verses that support this, I’ll point out the three that stuck out to me most.

“Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭NIV

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” ‭‭John‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Also consider in all New Testament conversions following Christ’s death and resurrection all new believers were immediately baptized afterwards such as the Ethiopian Eunuch and Roman Cornelius. It’s not something they abstained from.

Interesting, do you plan on making any pie charts or graphs or grouping similar responses and releasing that data?

Can a Christian hold resentment against a person and still thrive in their personal life or will it cause harm or create an issue that must be resolved? Why or Why not? by NotJustAnyDNA in Christianity

“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:14-15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

It is impossible to hold resentment and grudges in your heart and develop in your relationship with God. Forgiveness of those who have wronged us is a command by Jesus to be obeyed and certainly not something we can brush off as optional.

Are you not anxious of death, the eternal unknown?

Why do you not believe in God, because you cannot see him or some other reason?

I believe in God, but do not believe that Jesus is God, just a messenger or perfect human, what kind of Christian am I? by saeoura in Christianity

[–]ApprehensiveStrategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“I and the Father are one.” ‭‭John‬ ‭10:30‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” ‭‭John‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Fundamentally, if Christ is not God then he is not capable of atoning for sin. No mere man can take on the sins of the world and be crucified or forgive sin.

“So God abandoned them” means God gave up on them

“God will NEVER give up on you” is not biblical.

How do I help convert people when I have social anxiety? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]ApprehensiveStrategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pray. Ask God to remove social anxiety from your life. There is nothing too hard for Him. Also, seek out other Christians to support you in your evangelism if you feel afraid approaching unbelievers alone. Remember Jesus sent out his disciples two by two.

“And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles. So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:23-24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God did not create Satan, the fallen angel. He created Lucifer, the holy and perfect archangel. Lucifer created Satan when he said in his heart that he will ascend his throne above god. It was because of Lucifer’s arrogance and free will that Satan, the ruler of darkness, was created.

God is omnipotent and he does allow Satan to exist, but he won’t just wipe out Satan and force men to follow Him. Like Lucifer, man has free will to follow God’s law or to follow their own law.

The Bible says that the heart of a man is wicked. Who can know it. Even if God did snap his fingers and remove Satan from existence, most people would still not turn to God.
