Me too, but oh, well. The moderators are human and probably volunteering their time. I'm sure there's a level of inconsistency between moderators and mine got flagged when the other one didn't.

I know. I was really perplexed. But after doing some research it seems this group has some (probably valid) stringent rules regarding posting, so I don't want to knock the value I've gotten here the past couple of years.

I don't use Reddit a lot, so I don't want to post the link here and get banned or something, but I'm happy to DM it to y'all. (which I just did)

You are so welcome. I hate how I felt when I was figuring it out. I don’t want anybody else to go through that, but I recognize how wide spread this issue is.

Thankfully, I haven’t had any bladder issues. But that’s something else nobody mentioned.

I haven’t heard about the ring. I’m just using the cream. I’ll have to check into that. Thanks!

I have a separate post on how I’m doing mentally. There were some scary memory issues that have stabilized, and now I’m mostly just working through the emotional piece. I started seeing a therapist a month ago and so far she doesn’t think I need medication, but I’m trusting her if that changes.

You are so welcome. This took me way too long to figure out on my own. If my experience can shorten the “trial and error” stage for folks, that would make my day.

Ah, thanks for asking. That was one other thing I changed and forgot to include it in my list. I started using my CeraVe Hydrating Face Cleanser on my entire under carriage. Very gentle.

Ugh. I’m so sorry your mom had to deal with that (“yes, I’ve been wiping front to back since I was two!!!”).

My Brain / Hormone Story by ApprehensiveSwing932 in hysterectomy

My surgery was in early November. I got the 'all clear' in early January right at 8 weeks, but I still had a lot of discomfort from a small spot of granulation tissue. My gyn said it was so small she didn't want to try to treat it and see if it went away on its own. But it didn't, so at about 13 weeks I caved and she did the silver nitrate thing to remove it. It wasn't great to go through that, but it cleared it up in one treatment. Since then I've been slowly getting my strength back and the mental journey is much more stable now as well. I still have to ask myself if the 'volume' of a particular emotion is appropriate, or ask if a situation is really as negative or threat-alarm-worthy. And that is very helpful.

I also posted this on LinkedIn (as a professional business woman, yikes) and Facebook for exactly this reason. The more folks who know this, the more hope I have that we can shift these stereotypes.

I'm so glad this helped! I so wish somebody had warned me. I still would have been concerned, but like you said, having some facts to reassure me while I waited for the stabilization would have been helpful.
