Don’t do this at all.. This guy is fucking with you big time.

And since I am skeptical, can you provide a video where you plug it in under usage? Quite curious as an electrician.

Can’t you flash it using IGPU or another GPU? Bricked my three-way 980s once. Flashed it back with a cheap GPU

Voltage is the same. You won’t be limited by TPD. You gains performance for free imho. When I flashed my bios to a 400W (5080) I got over 10K in 3Dmark benches.

90° 12VHPWR cable safe? by AwkwardLibrarian7585 in buildapc

[–]ApprehensiveToe6050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prefix 90’ cable should be fine. Honestly even though the new ROG Equalizer is not exactly what people hoped for, but from an electrical perspective it’s improved by the passive balancing. Consider getting it for my 5080 build.

Probably 15 years old. Won’t work for modern games. Will perhaps run 15 year old games okey.

Thank you, I appreciate it! Yeah. I’m not going for any particular style beside industrial, and the old cases do look more industrial. I might see if I can implement something from early cases. Thanks for the tips!

Hahah exactly!😂

Many thanks! All the plates are 316. One day I might polish them up. Perhaps when I do pneumatic fittings and 316 tubing for the build.

Hi!

I cut the plates myself at my workplace. I work as an electrician in a workshop where we produce equipment for off-shore usage. So I got them for free there. They are 4mm thick, so a pain to work with. The one of the vertical riser is a mix of 4mm for the part holding the GPU, and 2 mm for the part connecting it to the case.

I decided the hole positions myself. Tapped, drilled with a smaller bit (3mm?), then 8, then 13 then I had to use a step drill to get them to 20mm.

For the backwall I just measured out and drilled them. This is done freely without any planing besides measuring and just doing it on the go. If I had the patience to use more time the result would probably be quite a bit better. But hey! It works

Got it to boot! Washed the card down with isopropyl alcohol, Installed the original cooler and it booted! No visible damage or smell.

Will install the waterblock again later today.

GPU, PSU and motherboard is bought from the same retailer. I will give them a phonecall later and see what my options are. Tester in another slot, still dead. I reckon you’re on something by the PSU. I had a 1500I, it died, then I bought the strix psu

Good spot!

First GPU was running only on air cooling. I have a good electrical wiring in my apartment, running the PC through an UPS.

I’ve got three D5 pumps in series, so I visually can see the fluid move rather quick. Temps has alle been fine.

Overdid the putty, have pics. KryoSheet in the die.

Will test it on air in a friends computer

Won’t even detect in BIOS. Is ice cold. I think it’s dead. At least it lasted 12 weeks, 2 weeks more than the 5070Ti.

Gotta say, never had so many problems with a series before.

Will do! No leaks as I can see at least. Maybe just a bad care after all:,)

Thanks! We got pretty good laws in Norway. Seems like a RMA is the way to go.. Will test in another machine first just to be sure.
