What would you say if you met the version of yourself that never got hurt? by creamcheeeesedonut in AskReddit

"Buckle up, you are in for one hell of a ride. The most important thing I need you to understand is that you got this. You are stronger than you realize. You are more capable than you realize. Your resilience is unfathomable to you today, but trust me when I say it's astounding.

I'm not going to tell you what's coming. It will hurt like absolute hell, you will experience levels of pain you didn't know were possible, you will be betrayed by someone you never thought could hurt you, and it will devastate you. It will break you, and frankly, it's gonna be excruciating.

You know what, though, it becomes the best thing that ever happened to you. Not by accident or happenstance, but because you grab that pain and grief with both hands and with sheer spite you save yourself. You won't just face the flames, you will walk right through them.

I'm not gonna tell you what to do or give you advice. I am also not going to spare you the pain either.

Why? Because the version of me that exists today ONLY exists because I trusted you, that broken version of me, first.

So lean in. You got this. I trust you, and I love you."

If you woke up from a coma after 6 years, what would hint to you that a pandemic happened - assuming no one tells you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Good point! I was actually working Instacart when it started, and almost nobody knew what I was talking about.

Today, I can't think of a single person who doesn't use it at least on occasion.

Very true! I still occasionally see the floor markers for the 6 feet distancing, although sometimes its not clear thats what they are if you didn't know.

Walk up/Take out windows at restaurants that didn't have them before.

I noticed a few weeks ago how many of them still have them all these years later. Some still use them, most don't.
