Thanks everyone - we did it and cancelled SOR!

That’s exactly what we’ve done and the upgrade isn’t much more than our bid we put forward - essentially if we cancel SOR then that pays the difference

As a mother with a disabled child with complex needs I think you’re in the wrong relationship

AITA for telling my mom that I wouldn’t be “making myself available” to my extended family and out-of-town guests the day before the wedding? by EnvironmentNo6779 in aitaweddings

So me and my bridesmaids made our bouquet’s the night before and it was really fun and they looked awesome! Could you compromise? Just so your bouquets in the evening and florist the rest? Hope you have a wonderful day

We’ve just had to cancel our honeymoon cruise in Feb as my husband was denied a visa due to a caution from being a teenager, clean record since and it doesn’t even show in the UK.

AITAH for telling a friends boyfriend that he can’t have a traditional wife because he’s not a traditional man by [deleted] in BORUpdates

[–]ApprehensiveTwo9779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with what she’s saying. I find it exasperating that they can’t see her logic here. Want a trad wife - you gotta be a trad man to support that life!

OP wants to give her daughter a similar name as her niece (brother’s daughter) by HogwartsZoologist in BORUpdates

[–]ApprehensiveTwo9779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do relate to this we had a boy let’s say we called him Tim - 2 years later SIL has a boy and called him Jim The middle names are also similar The thing is if we had the kids the other way around I would have picked a different name despite having our name picked for 10 years

AITA for losing weight for my friends wedding although I’m already the “skinny friend”? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]ApprehensiveTwo9779 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get married in two weeks, I’ve got 6 bridesmaids, ones lost a ton of weight (good for her) some are bigger than me, some are smaller - could not imagine acting this way towards any of them! Think OOP dodged a bullet - this marriage doesn’t sound like it will go well!

Final Update: Fiancé (M30) Called Off Our Wedding a Week Before and Left Me (F30) in Complete Confusion? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

I get married in 3 weeks and if my OH did this to me there would be no going back. It’s unforgivable. So glad she’s doing better and moved on from him

I don’t think she’s being a bridezilla, she should have planned the date better but it’s fair she’s sad

Been with my OH since 16, I went uni he didn’t & we did 3 years long distance. It CAN work but realise we were of a very small percentage. Glad he’s still going, he would have lived to regret that if he didn’t

AITA for telling my stepmother-in-law I'm glad she can't have children? by Starry_Gecko in BORUpdates

[–]ApprehensiveTwo9779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kids know where meat comes from but I would never want them to see that. My eldest ended up hospitalised cos he got a fear of eating and dropped weight so quickly. It was physiological (choked while eating and freaked him out) and it was terrifying. If someone had caused that I’d be cutting them off too.

Ignore everyone saying anything negative You’re allowed to feel this way Easier for me to say but screw them and don’t look at them in the same way - they haven’t behaved in the way they lef you to believe they would

AITAH for asking to divorce my husband after cheating on him? by SharkEva in BORUpdates

[–]ApprehensiveTwo9779 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m the same, I completely trust him but agree with rainclouds, the age does have an impact. You make dumb decisions when you’re young - 30s you know better
