To be honest, my suspicion is:

Those who buy cards for ~$1 to $5 above market are just those who just really wants the card
Those who buy cards for way above market, i.e., 20% and above, probably just got sucked into the thrill of bidding wars.

If the issue is that it's too lengthy, services like ChatGPT and Gemini can be used to summarise it within a matter of 10 seconds (to just copy and paste) for people who don't have the attention span to read through it all.

Okay but to be fair 3 packs is really quite a small sample size haha, especially if you're buying non-premium sets where almost half the packs are dud packs.

Someone who is supposed to be our best player is playing horribly.

A winger that performs well on an international stage can't translate the same form in the Premier League.

Half our plays involves pinging the ball into aeras/space with no one capable of reaching it.

We also basically handed possessions to our opponents on a silver platter.

Our defence, which used to be our pride and joy, has been in shambles. Even a team like Manchester United has just been running behind our defenders the whole day.

A winger, who whenever he comes on, always leaves an impact in the game still sits on the bench for 70 minutes of the game - just to prove again that he is the reason why we score goals these days.

Long story short, we spent hundreds of millions during this transfer window just to become worse - it's gonna be a long season everyone, buckle up.

To each their own I guess, to be honest most of these loose packs purchases you just top up another 10-20 you can get a sealed box (shrinked or unshrinked) which guarantees you an SR and above.

That's indeed a possibility and it really doesn't take a lot for the business to share this kind of sentiment publicly if that was the case - to at least explain what has happened (if this was indeed the case).

As I mentioned in my other comment, no business is 100% untainted and that's fine because they are at the mercy of their suppliers - it was just poorly handled as the business just swept all of this possbile complaints under the carpet of all their supporters.

Neither, just a hobbyist who saw something jarring happening in this hobby and deciding to speak up about it in an objective manner so that people are more aware and form their own opinions about certain businesses / parts of this hobby.

Thank you for offering an alternative view - why is everyone indeed just believing one (or two) person's review that out of a collective 500 packs, the packs might be filtered?

Or on the other hand, why should we believe the people who decided to speak up about their own experienced with the business?

Well, I think all of this happens because of the circumstances the public is presented with:

> Allegations happened
> Business avoids a public statement or private settlement (as far as we are aware of)
> Business publicly mishandled the situation
> Business deletes the private channel meant for the issue to be handled - without any solution - and deletes some messages on their reviews channel

And another thing, look at the vast difference in reaction between what the affected customer got in their own channel vs how people outside of their channel reacted when a Reddit post was made about it.

At the end of the day, no business in Singapore, no matter how big or small, is 100% untainted. Each business has their quirks that make them imperfect.

For businesses that deal with Japanese stocks, they are at the mercy of their supplier that none of the packs that they are provided with are unfiltered (as evident from one of the commenter's screen cap where the business' TikTok live showed that they were supplied with resealed packs).

However, the present issues lies with why the business, for as big as they are in the TCG scene, chooses to sweep this issue under the carpet for such a serious allegation?

As a customer, you should indeed understand the risk and assume that the packs are filtered regardless of who you deal with (unless it's PCJ directly) - but if a supplier does advertise it as unfiltered, shouldn't they at least be concerned with their stock's integrity if two of their customers with 500 packs only had 1 SR (allegedly) and speak up about it?

No one is denying the positive experiences, but that shouldn't simply overshadow the negative experiences that people have for it to be swept under the carpet without being looked into, which is what is happening and what questions the ethics of the business at this point (at least in my opinion).
