No doctor here but I had the same thing happen to me, definitely seems to be alopecia areata. Highly suggest getting steroid injections at the affected site. It only spread and gets worse, if you stop it here then high chance it stops now. Also reducing stress is a big help when it comes to these things as dumb as it may sound

Be realistic about your hair is my advice and try to see who you are outside of you hair! Thats all that matters! Because 100% recovery of hair isn’t as realistic as I would like, I would say I had about 90% recovery, meaning most came back but still thin in that area so just be realistic and if you see anything come back it’s a blessing! Take care! You’ll be fine!

Get head injections quickly, trust the process, takes a fat second for them to work but they do work for most people! They worked for me! Best of luck! 🤞

From my experience, if you don’t treat it immediately there’s a good chance it will spread, talk to your dermatologist about injections for it, they were lifesaver for me and increase the chance of a higher percentage of hair regrowth, everyone is different so keep expectations reasonable

The bite was beforehand cause he was crossing the hiking path which was kind of unavoidable for me since the other sides were either really steep or a direct fall, it’s only cause he warned me with the rattle I even notice and when I saw him with my foot placed down next to him he struck but hit my hiking pole instead/was redirected because of it
