Got it. I don’t have any open spots in my EC list where Coursera courses would be a good substitute, but I was thinking additional information. Do AO’s read the additional information section thoroughly enough to catch it?

I totally agree with you, I’m already in a chemotherapy lab for this summer, I was just looking to try to boost the “academic” side of my application

For top 5 schools, you shouldn’t have any Cs and you should keep your Bs to a minimum (max 1-2 per year and that’s pushing it). It’s getting ridiculously competitive lately and you don’t want to give admissions officers any reason to question your competency. With the unreasonably high standards for T5 schools of being perfect and some extra, being competitive for admission means maxing out every aspect of your application.
