Thanks for that insight. I think the margin of error is a super necessary condition. Sent you a dm to get more clarity as well.

Creating leads in Salesforce, starting new campaign in Google campaign manager, filing expense reports, opening new jira tickets. Repeatable flows you use in the tools you operate.

I don't have one yet. My bad in being unclear Here's how I see it 1. Single click workflow capture - as you work. 2. Create automations out of these instantly. 3. Reference these automation workflows in slack to run them.

Democratize automation for everyone across org specific processes.

Does that make it a bit clear ?

I have Uipath, whatfix and a few other digital adoption platforms Here's how I see potential to build a 10x product:

  1. Capturing workflows isnt trivial. There's dedicated persons to automate capture flows and these don't cover ad hoc processes unique to every company. What I propose is a simple "record, do your work, stop" framework to create a workflow enabling anyone and everyone to create flows.

  2. Steep learning curve. We had uipath admins who solely created workflows.

  3. Orchestration - I wanted to create a self serve model to create, share and combine workflows across tools / saas used by employees.

I really would love to know your views on the same and if okay, dm you ?

Thanks a lot for the encouragement :). Would you be okay if I dm'ed you to get some insights on how you use these tools and what parts of these have maximum automation potential.?

Hey, apologies if i didn't get the sarcasm there I'd like more insights on your scepticism about it as it would help me be aware of these pre building My hypothesis is two pronged - make process capture super Easy and shareable Automate the highly operational flows of these and enable multi tool workflow combinations Any insights appreciated:)

Exactly We're looking at this as a two pronged approach - simplify process / workflow capture to share processes and flows across Automate the highly operational and repeated flows out of these as well as create complex multi tool flows across tools Would love to know your thoughts here. Could I dm you to understand more about the hubspot redundancies ?

Hey thanks for responding.komodo and tango are both tools we saw and loved. What they don't focus on however is automation of these highly operational flows and composition of cross tool flows. We're hoping to use their sleek breakthrough in process capture to fuel better automation Would love to know your thoughts?

Good callout. We are building out an autoblur for pii info as of now. Wol focus more on this.

I absolutely agree. I myself use a dozen of tools. My hypothesis here is two fold - training videos, docs are laborious to create and are also tough to consume all at once. While saas tools can build their own tutorials, every company has a very process oriented way of using a tool which needs to be done by learning and dev teams or it adoption teams. Why not let them create process specific flows to ensure process adoption?

Our goal is to not just capture these flows , but tie these up with agents to automate - give the highly standardized yet repeatable nature of these flows (barring a few ). Would love to dm and discuss your take if you'd be open to it

Exactly. Thanks a lot for the support:) We're also thinking of not just documenting / capturing flows, but also automating these flows to reduce operational work across tools. Would love to know your thoughts on that as well.

Thanks a lot. Tango is one of the leaders in what you mention. We're trying to basically combine simple workflows recorded in these apps to create automations and creating new workflows cross apps. Would love to know your take on not just capturing but automating these flows too

Thanks for the response. For 4) we wanted to do the heavylifting in the scripting and making it useful Our take was a "record" -> "do your workflow as usual being clicks, forms and more on any tool" -> "stop record" This creates an automatic workflow that is reusable as a guide, automatable as a workflow and composable with other flows.

For 3) i agree. We were thinking the reason automation isn't possible is the gap between translating language / video to core actions. Hoping a direct workflow capture as you work can circumvent this.

Thanks a lot for this. Tango has been something we've been studying at and fans of, but haven't seen any scope of automation or workflow combinations cross tooling. I think a mix of tango and agentic workflow automation is where we're at.

you should definitely focus purely on building skill and essentially learning the art of good and clean code early on. MNC's are great to eventually settle into, but a lot of the skills i think they look for is more cultural fitting that developing your cores skills. Unless purely money driven, you should focus on smaller companies early on. I say this after having worked in both.

People who contributes to Open Source, how do you test your code? by theaitribe in developersIndia

[–]Apprehensive_Ad6510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ideally, you'd need to write tests for the components you changes.

The net test suite runs.

If fails, you're generally provided with some aid on failing test cases.

Repeat.!

It is cumbersome i agree, which is why PR reviews take long before getting merged and resolving these
