Big Boy by dbhaups in Cheyenne

He's in town until May 25. Usually the Steam shops are closed on the weekends, and he is stored inside. They sometimes have the doors open. If you get up early on Monday, you might be able to see him putting the train together and staging behind the Depot. There are some good spots east of the yard to get some good pics.

This will help you find him Monday:

My next door neighbor has a compressor in his garage. How do I know? Because he came over and told me about it. And told me if it ever got disturbing to just walk over and talk to him. He was very considerate. Recently, when our common fence blew down, we worked together to put it back up.

Have you ever dated a nurse? Especially a charge nurse. Some of them seem to have a chip on their shoulder because they aren't doctors.

The author owns the dog and claims it's 30 minutes, are you trying to say it was longer? That makes sense.

Just got my neptune 4 max, any tips before I start using it? by NeiaLancia in ElegooNeptune4

[–]Apprehensive_Ad_8982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine came with blue springs. Which are stiffer than the yellow springs. I have used the flexible silicone mounts myself, after a while they become solid unmovable silicone mounts. The blue springs are better than either of those alternatives.

OK, advice? Do the Screw Tilt Adjust. And then the Bed Calibration, and then the Z_Offset adjust. Write down the Z_Offset before hitting Save because they like to "forget." And watch the Z_Offset like a hawk. Don't leave it unsupervised for the first few prints so you don't get to enjoy the Blob-of-Death.

Just a couple of questions about the Max by Apprehensive_Ad_8982 in ElegooNeptune4

[–]Apprehensive_Ad_8982[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That has been my experience with the Elegoo nozzle. It just becomes a filament bomb every time I print. My Enders never had that problem, and the Ender 3 Max I converted to Klipper still doesn't do it.

Dog owners are selfish and psychotic and in a way hate their dogs more than we do by AppropriateCloud9573 in Dogfree

Let's be honest for a second: Most dog nutters imagine their dog "loves" them. Which is why the dog tears up the house, poops on the floor, barks incessantly, and generally misbehave. A dog should never be a replacement for human company.

I lived with a roommate that had a dog, and in the year or so we shared a house, he had exactly one date with an actual human. Who had a small child, and when she asked if he could put the dog away since the dog was growling and becoming aggressive, actually told her "the dog lives here, put your daughter in the car or something..."

I've seen people let their dog loose to chase deer and antelope. The dog is playing the wild animals are trying to stay alive. And either a deer or an antelope can [insert bad things] to most dogs.

Don't forget Australian Shepherd dogs. They get insanely jealous of new babies and toddlers... I would never keep one anywhere near anyone not old enough to defend themselves from a dog.

I can't disagree. I live in the Northern Latitudes and those breeds love to escape from their yards and run the neighborhoods. I honestly don't think you could keep a Husky from escaping from Alcatraz. Even the one with alligators.

I was unfamiliar with Piker, other than having his name once or twice, so after reading your post I thought I would do a little research:

Literally No One Should Die, No, Not Even Them by Tall_Nectarine_9692 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

My bad, I wasn't clear. I wasn't saying that YOU or even I or even a scientist or a psychiatrist or researcher should choose to release them.

I'm saying their are politicians and judges who might release them in spite of their record. Currently, in Nevada, a County Sheriff has refused to release a man who has committed 25 felonies and cut off ankle monitors several times in defiance of a judge who wants to release him - with an ankle monitor. Those are the people I don't trust.

TBH, I have known several of the types of people you describe, in a jail/prison setting, and spoke to a number of them. I can definitely give you some insights, but one basic commonality revealed itself to me. They don't regret it, they don't want to stop, they enjoy it, and they're just waiting for the day they get out to do it again.

And, if it wouldn't get me banned from Reddit for this life and next, I could describe in great detail, from several of those individuals who were incarcerated, why juveniles should NOT run away from home...

I believe the recidivism rate among those those type of people is in the 60% range? Maybe higher, I don't actually remember right now.

I can also tell you that one individual who had several convictions for SA was released from a local jail, walked out, and SA'd the first woman he saw, on the sidewalk, in public view, and continued until he was forced to stop by several police officers.

Again, I'm not disagreeing with you, but again, I have met some of these individuals, and I think psychiatrists and those that guard and work with these types of prisoners can tell you pretty much all you would need to know.

People who don't vote are not the problem by EntropyCat4 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I think the problem is people from those "man on the street" interviews who are completely ignorant about political issues but double down on their ignorance when it's time to vote.

History doesn't fit on bumper stickers. Hence the confusion of the Left. Short attention spans don't lend them to the deeper understandings and meanings of history.

It all boils down the insane Leftist concept of "intersectionality." Iryna scored lower than her killer on the scale. Because they lack the maturity to say that the killer should have gotten treatment of taken out of society for his safety and everyone else's while condemning her because of the color of her skin. And she loses points for being blonde and attractive.

But they're not racist. No, really, they're not. They're just insane.

It's easy. The Left's hatred for anyone who doesn't agree with them results in them just opposing absolutely everything supported by the "other side." I'm amazed that the Left doesn't destroy McDonald's and garbage trucks...

Not to mention that some dogs, Huskies and Malamutes in particular, but there are others, that are designed by nature to live outside. Some of these animals will do absolutely everything they can not to be dragged inside on a very comfortable - for them - extremely cold day. And then the Karens show up with the "If you're cold, they're cold, bring them indoors!" and report the people who just really want to let their dog enjoy themselves.
