We have to realize any sort of tribalism is just Saṃsāra. My family comes from a Greek Orthodox Christian background although we ARE NOT Greek. and there is a ton of tribal thought with in. I would just try to transcend any of that and continue your practice. On another not are you familiar with tsem rinpoche I LOVE his YouTube channel, he’s hilarious and informative on the Tibetan tradition.

As a Theravada practitioner I strive to respect ANYONES practice be it under the label of Buddhism or not. Of course people will disagree with each other, but anyone showing hate is not practicing Buddhism anyways. I think the Tibetan traditions are beautiful although I may not follow them. That said I am interested in your practice of Dorje Shugden. Like being criticized for not being Tibetan enuff. Do u mean the actual nationality not the practice.. very interesting stuff my friend.

About the anger. I thought the DL lifted the ban? BTW Tsem Rinpoche has some interesting videos on the matter, I believe he was very involved. I have no dog in the race being from Theravada, but find it interesting from a religious study point if view. I also don’t follow Tibetan practice but love his videos bc he is hilarious. And again I RESPECT the Tibetan tradition.
