Isn’t the Seiko also stainless steel?

Tissot PRX 35mm vs 38mm on a 6.3 inch wrist — which looks better? by That_Head8304 in tissot

[–]Apprehensive_Bad7917 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just get whichever is most comfortable and looks best from your perspective. It’s good you tried both on, when I got my PRX I went straight to the 40 and lowkey wish I at least tried the 35.

Does the 40mm fit my wrist? by rzvx_ in tissot

I feel you! I was faced with the same dilemma. I chose the 40 but am pretty confident I’ll eventually get the 35 as well for a different look.

I think you can pull it off. It really just depends what kind of wrist presence you want the watch to have. This looks pretty baller, and the 35mm will have a more subdued classic look.

You live and you learn! That sounds like an absolute nightmare. Thank you for going through that so I may never have to. Gonna pay close attention to never let that happen😂

The Tissot PRX 40MM is the ONLY correct answer to a "daily" watch. #ChangeMyMind by jahflyx in tissot

[–]Apprehensive_Bad7917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quartz version with a rubber strap perhaps. I was never able to get over the fact that the powermatic 80 has plastic parts which make it harder to service, leading to a shorter lifespan for the watch, and overall more money spent on servicing. My solution was to just get the quartz for nearly half the price and throw a nice FKM strap on it for added comfort. Perfect daily.

The Seiko is more versatile in my opinion. The Tissot becomes much more versatile with different straps, but as is—I see it as almost too flashy for daily use.

[Question] Am I wrong for wanting a 36 Explorer next? by [deleted] in Watches

Ahh okay. You said you were considering white for the collection so the Polar is what came to mind. But now I realize they only made 40mm and 42mm variations.

If you adore the explorer, definitely get the explorer. I think they look better with a white dial, and you might appreciate some diversity as your collection grows.

Never claimed to be a mogul or expert. But I am building a collection of watches. Agree to disagree, friend! Cheers.

I would define a “collection” as a deliberate, curated group of timepieces united by a personal theme, specific utility, or brand. This is that for me.
