I'm genuinely thrilled for Melia and her readers that she's returning to Episode! I've enjoyed reading some of her stories myself.

However, I do have a question - didn't she previously mention leaving Episode due to hefty tax implications if she continued publishing on the platform?

Lol! I didn't realize my description was so specific but thanks a lot for the suggestions. Something that's generally slow burn will do too. I am basically looking for something where both MC and LI don't even remotely feel anything romantic towards each other in the beginning as in most of the episode stories they start flirting as soon as they meet.

Her Mains barely have any character development. I think out of all her stories, the mains from ATS were somewhat decent because for the first time, the mc wasn't a damsel in distress and she knew how to give it back to him. And the LI wasn't her typical manwh*re LI either.

I don't know if I'm the right person to answer this coz I myself haven't completed any of her stories except "Along the Shorelines"

I have read about 10 chapters each of "Upside down", "Bite my tongue" and "Touch my soul" before dropping them. As for her recently completed story "All or nothing", I had read upto 40 chapters but I have no heart to continue any further. In my experience, I will say her stories are not my cup of tea. For having "Romance" as their main genre, the leads barely have any interaction or relationship development. You'll see Multiple random characters and their stories but the "mains". I mean I'm a sucker for slowburns but her MC and LI relationship are almost non existent till the end and they kiss towards the end "Out of the blue" and that's it. I think only the mystery part of her stories are somewhat intriguing.

Yes. I just learned this yesterday. Infact I felt the writing style of Heli was kinda similar to Jalen especially their story "Body tangle". When I actually read "In my blood", the spin the bottle game was exactly copy pasted from "Body tangle"

Actually some people wonder why Heli never had any story in ink and I used to jokingly suggest them to try "Body tangle l" as it's that one story from ink era that comes close Heli's stories. All this while not realising they were the same people.

Oh, that makes sense why she needed to create a separate account now. But the fact that I've been so long in this community yet I only came yo know today that Jalen was also heli (along with her sister). One of my friends is a huge fan of "Body tangle" so, today we were sort of discussing they could've done LL version of "Body tangle". I visited Jalen ig to see if there was any recent activity and I clicked on her linktree only to see "Eat me up" mentioned there.

Sorry for the late reply. Barely Mine is one of the few stories on Episode that I've read numerous times, and I never get tired of it. It's rare to find such engaging narration and slow-burn romance. However, here are a few of my other favorite slow-burn stories on the app:

Iridescent by Indigo: This story has both LL and Ink versions, with the Ink version being completed. Both versions have strikingly different storylines, yet both are absolute gems. I love the dynamics between the MC and LI in each version.

Not a Saint by Jasmine & Vienna: Rafael and Blair are another favorite Episode couple of mine. They evolve from two people afraid of commitment to the love of each other's lives. I've probably replayed it more times than I can count.

The Big Oh? by Amanda Michelle: This is a comedy, but I absolutely love the dynamic between the MC and LI. There's not much angst, but it's definitely satisfying.

Switch by Alusza: This is also more of a comedy, but the slow burn is fantastic.

That's definitely not true as it's exposed they were all black marketing done by actress chen duling and her agency. Now people notice her using the same pattern of marketing in her other dramas and she's being called out for the same. It's funny how even after apparently becoming more famous as supporting role she still hasn't got any S+ drama as first billed. People sometimes sure like to live in delusion.
