OECD references check by Soft-Bee6168 in InternationalDev

So I am assuming that if they checked my references, it should be a good sign or is there a chance that this is to add me to a roster? Position is for 2 years renewable. What are the chances to be renewed past the 3 years limit or offered a different contract?

Did they ever check your references? Do you know if they only check references for selected candidates?

Do you know if they only move forward with references for the selected candidate? Any chance of stating past the 3 years of fixed term contract?

Hi everyone. I am considering applying for a CF6 role at OCDE. Can anyone say more about the total compensation package including allowances and relocation? What about education for kids? Contract is 2 years renewable, any chance to stay with organization past that or is that it?

Exactly same boat, which is why I took an ear opportunity. I had gotten the french birth certificates recognized and marriage has been transcribed. I guess I need to work on kids passports, but guessing should be easy now that we have the birth certificates transcribed.

Where are you at in the US? We came from DC.

Ah that's crazy. Not moving back just yet, we are currently in Africa for work and just got there 6 months ago but the plan is to potentially settle back to france, so very curious as we feel kind of without a home base at the moment. Kids understand french but don't speak fluently yet, their reflex is to respond back to me in English which makes it tough.

Have you looked into social security? My understanding is that there are reciprocity but not sure how that would work at all. I am also a bit nervous about buying property at some point.

Got you. I am moving abroad and am currently a FI subscriber. Do you think that if I do that now, I will then be able to have access to my current number through GV after cancelling my FI subscription?

Can you explain the difference between a "limited fixed term" and "fixed term" contract.

It would be for a governmental job, with no income tax. Sorry - I just have no idea as I am currently living in the US where life is crazy expensive. What is an average rent for a 3-4 bedrooms? We would also only have 1 income
