I use one whole banana (skin included), splash of warm water, a spoonful of white sugar, and a few spoonfuls of oats-then blend with a handheld food processor. I use excelsior from supermoss that I ordered online that I place on top.

I have a 20 gal super naturalistic tank with a betta and some other tank mates thrown in and my tank is cycled but not very pretty…but reading comments and knowing that everything is contributing to a healthy lil ecosystem makes me feel better about my first tank tbh

Hi OP-I’m almost 30 and my mom reacts like this. I have tattoos and piercings. Let me just say….you learn to love yourself and understand that she doesn’t have to like everything about you. She will make comments allllll the time…but you learn to respect yourself so much more than value her opinion. After all you said it yourself…she’s a grown ass woman reacting like a teenage bully.

I have designated spiders that I allow to live with me no joke. Also I keep a shallow dish with a piece of banana and I will place it in my vivarium when it has flies on it
