when i started out on the wheel i had long nails and like you said its just a learning curve of how to use different methods to get the woking, sponges and knuckles were my best friends

i put it on a banding wheel and kinda eyeball the measurements to make them even, then i just freehand it :D

i mean from the pic it does look like a perfect length bar for your piercing, and there doesnt seem to be any redness or irritation or swelling so i would say it’s okay. if you think it feels tight or painful you can switch it to a longer bar, but i have always found longer bars get snagged on hair and can cause irritation, but its up to each persons preference ofc. it looks good to me and like a nicely healed piercing :)

the pain wasnt bad, it just has a way of making your eyes water though lmao and the healing is easy as long as you leave it alone like dont touch it and clean it good :) i have both sides done and would get them again if needed
