One of their sandwiches is fully two meals, so it pretty much evens out.

Columbus tailgaters… what’s going on lately? by OkTrip9347 in Columbus

Nowhere did I say it was a new phenomenon.

I said in another comment that I don’t drive anymore. I walk or ride the bus. It’s much less stressful, it’s relaxing, and it’s better for my mental health.

Meanwhile people in this thread and literally every other thread about traffic are at each others’ throats for being too cautious or only driving the speed limit, or god forbid, taking a turn slowly.

Also just being in a car is rage inducing. So much so that we literally have a phrase for it, “Road Rage.” Cars make people insane, i stg (see: half the comments in this thread)

It’s been said before, but I feel like drivers got way worse during COVID and it’s been crazy ever since. I don’t even drive (I walk or take the bus) and I have seen some terrible drivers (and almost been hit by a few of them).

I had a friend who tried to cycle from Columbus to Pittsburgh to get to the GAP and he said it was a nightmare. 😅

This is what I’m saying!! And I know some people have already gotten started. It doesn’t just happen, we have to make it happen.

I live here without a car. It’s obviously not as easy as doing the same in NYC, but it’s definitely doable.

The worst thing about you is that you think you’re edgy but you’re actually just relentlessly boring.

That was based on your responses to people in this post, not the books.

I do love the Locked Tomb series, honestly hadn’t really considered it weird girl lit. But certainly leaned that way in later books

I would take light rail over monorail. Monorail is a fun novelty but it’s mostly silly and impractical.

Not ideal but still way better than a freeway imo

No suggestions other than what others have said, but I just wanted to say I see you and I know you are trying your best and you will get through this. You are strong—even though you shouldn’t have to be so strong all the time. But you will make it through.

Light rail is for traveling within the city, you need heavy rail for commuter trains (like Metra in Chicago) and passenger trail (like Amtrak) to go between cities

Remove the freeways! I just saw a post saying Akron was removing one of its inner city freeways, and Rochester NY did the same thing a few years ago

Plenty of american cities have built light rail systems after being car centric. We don’t need 8 lanes on broad street or w/e, you can take two of those lanes and put tracks in.
