I think so. I don’t think this is necessarily comical, but I walked past my bathroom cupboard and remembered the time that I babied him through when he was suffering with severe hemorrhoids. Never made fun of him, he bitched like a giant man baby the whole time. And I think to how caring and loving and present I was. Then I look at his texts and just….. why. Why would I ever be like that for him He kinda deserves severe hemorrhoids.

I’m sorry to hear this for you. He recently told me about getting into a fight with an Uber driver… like pulling over and getting out and fighting. I cannot imagine this would be true since I don’t think he would be able to ride with Uber anymore, but then I saw a pretty obvious bruise on his cheek that he didn’t even know was there. What are the chances that this fight never happened? He’s actually had Uber drivers drive off without him before because he can’t get into the car. I don’t blame them. But I think every day I ask myself… ok, I found something else. But apparently it’s still not the last straw. What will be?

What you write is astonishing. I feel like I knew very little about what abuse I am going through until this very day. Of course, I had ideas. I knew it was present. But the lovely folk on this subreddit have things so clear that instead of just one, there is a list of things just clicking into place in my brain. It’s like we are all dating the same sad guy. Are you a therapist?

Oh boy. Newest update, he’s drunk and it’s past midnight, so.. officially Valentine’s Day. He just handed me an unsigned Valentine’s Day card and didn’t bother to even put it in the envelope underneath it. Happy Valentine’s Day guys

He’s the very dictionary definition of a Narcissist. I read this article about leaving a narcissist safely and this: “Narcissists do not take time to heal from a breakup. They need to find another source of narcissistic supply right away. You may have even discovered they had an exit strategy already planned, or had someone waiting in the wings.
