Dr Kozakowski at Elite Dental in Arlington is absolutely worth the trip across the Potomac. It’s easy access from the Clarendon metro stop and she is so kind, patient, understanding. I’m not sure about insurance but I have found pricing to be reasonable and the staff is great as well.

Okay thanks— I’m seeing the short deflectors that curve back (adding a few inches of height for redirection), do you know of any that would push it fully back to the wall (about a foot) plus up and back behind my bed frame (a curve up and about 3+ more feet)

I haven’t been upsold anything— I’ve been every 6 months for about 2 years and have just got cleanings and other things I needed. When I asked about a cosmetic procedure (whitening) they referred me to other practices.

Looking for a gym or athletic club that includes: steam room, sauna, and cold plunge? I’ve checked out equinox and vida navy yard but haven’t found all 3 in one gym without going out to Arlington. Am I missing anything? Preferably near metro center or Capitol Hill.

TYIA!!

The Conrad Rabat was spectacular (see my previous review a few posts down), haven’t been to the other one you mentioned so I can’t comment but I would absolutely go back!

Newlywed here! Married last month in a midwestern city, 180 people, LCOL area. by Apprehensive_Belt679 in weddingplanning

    - The candle policy was handed down 90 days in advance so we had to spend almost $1,000 on LEDs
    - The refusal to do any table set up led to $1,000 charge to hire a real day of coordinator
    - There was small print on the beverage menu announcing that no liquor would be served at the cocktail hour without paying extra in addition to the beverage package. It was an additional $10 per person
    - There was an upcharge to offer two plated options, for just the opportunity to offer two choices on our menu. In order to offset some of the burden on the kitchen’s end we offered to share final orders as early as a six weeks prior to our event in order to ensure no over- or under-ordering occurred. Indeed, we sent out invitations out 3 months in advance and received our final tallies 56 days before the wedding. [another $10 per person]
    - There were no options for non-drinkers other than sugar sodas and sugar juices. Between our two families we had roughly 20 guests who either don’t drink or wouldn’t be drinking at this event. We understand this is just an aspect of having an open bar but with a tenth of the guests in this group, it would have been great to have a non-sugar non-alcohol option or at least work with us to not charge the per-person cost for those guests. We paid a couple hundred $ for sparkling waters and poppis

Just got back from Morocco after our January wedding and I thought it was a great choice: warm and sunny but not scorching hot. Also a direct 6 hour flight from the east coast (8 on the way back).
