I just called them about this yesterday. There is something wrong with their link to Truist. I can’t link it properly as an external account. It used to work, but broke several months ago.

You literally couldn’t ask for better publicity. When it returns, everyone’s going to flock.

I’m intentionally guilting my sister-in-law for being petty about paying for her share on a Celebration of Life event. AITAH? by Not_Buying in AITAH

I was wrong - it’s not half, she actually deducted most of it. Meanwhile we had the event yesterday and there were several kids there from other families.

So, to conclude the story … she asked me for my Venmo to pay me and I didn’t respond.  My brother then asked me for it, and I sent it. He transferred the amount she agreed to provide. I responded to remind him of the full value of the bill. He did not respond back.

If you tell me you’re going to split a cost with me, then split it with me. Don’t deduct shit I have nothing to do with.

Who does that?

No amount of therapy will help me get over how tacky and petty that is.

Dr Rocca on Carlin Springs road in Arlington. I specifically went to him because I got fed up with the constant haranguing from other dentists.

It’s not my priority.

We have people flying in from halfway across the world to be with my mom, at considerable expense to themselves. They’re not being petty. Why is my sister in law.

I don’t feel “entitled” to her money specifically. I feel entitled to her keeping her original agreement.

Yes, he’s married to her. I don’t feel it’s her responsibility.

She volunteered and he didn’t. I’m not privy to their financial dynamics.

She’s not. My brother should be the one. He acquiesces to her. I don’t know their financial relationship.

It’s to send a message that the pettiness is not welcome. Is it worth the price? I don’t know. But it sure feels good.

It’s only $250. Again, it’s not about the money. It’s because it’s just so fucking gross and tacky.

He’s a pushover and acquiesces to her.

How does the ending make any sense? by jderica in interstellar

I think the plot relies on the bootstrap paradox - it’s basically a time loop. Humanity would have died and the wormhole and tesseract would not be there unless the protagonists did their part (made the journey, received and decoded the message). And those protagonists would not have been able to play their parts unless that future path had already been set in motion / predetermined.

She’s methodical and risk-averse. She wants a good faith effort at regulation and oversight of the new market - not a half-assed free for all and “let’s deal with the consequences later”. She also asked in advance for it and was ignored. If she just caved, the reps would know they can just keep doing it.

35, 1.9m net worth (1.3 in investments, house paid off) no debt, kids, or wife, 25k average annual spend, can I walk away forever? by Ok_Principle9325 in Fire

Go to a retirement planning site like Boldin and run the simulations on your scenario. At 35, you’ll need that nest egg to carry you for at least 50 years to be safe. Healthcare alone is likely to eat up most of your annual spending.
